One of the most common complaints is that we lost a great 'coach' (in absolute sense of the word) in Damien Duff, who by all accounts was incredible for player development. In losing him, we also seemingly lost that element and have not replaced it with anything in kind (sorry wee Strachan 2.0)
And tactically, we have no clue currently.
Do you think he would be a good consideration for Manager if Lennon was to go?
Too raw maybe in this critical year?
If this was similar to when Lennon replaced Mowbry, it could be a no-brainer - maybe too much riding on this season when perhaps more experience needed?
I know he had his personal, family reasons for going back to Ireland - could be different story (for whole family) if something of this magnitude was in play?
The positives to counter his lack of experience is that he seemed to be adored and respected by the players he worked.

Given he left to be closer to his family, probably not.

We don't need a rookie manager, maybe in the future.

He's not someone that strikes me as a manager.

It's not the time to take big risks.

If he is an excellent coach, with the potential to be an excellent manager (the people in charge of the club should know better than anyone whether or not he is), then he should be part of the conversation, certainly, but we should be able to attract more established managers (or safer bets, in other words).

There definitely seems to be a noticeable difference in the squad since he left. Whether that is down to him leaving or whether he is ready to be his own man I don’t know.

I voted worth a shot because if he is the coach we speculate he is, then that’s what we should go for.

But really we have no idea about Damien Duff, it’s pure speculation.

It’s not our job though, the person that appoints the manager should have a better insight.

Well, he left because he effectively didn't want to be here, so.

John Kennedy has a better chance. Someone who Duff himself described as "frightening" how good he is. Although unfortunately that isn't translating on to the pitch at the minute.

If Lennon does depart, be it by his own accord or otherwise, we need someone with experience though

Impossible question for the average fan to answer. Celtic fans have their theories that Damien Duff was the actual brain behind the operation last season. Sevco fans have the theory that Michael Beale is the brains behind what's going on over there just now.

Does anyone know if either of these things are true? Do they *.

So, given that Damien Duff has never been a manager of a club like Celtic before, I'm gonna say no.

We need an experienced manager to get us over the line this season.
