Seems very odd even allowing them on a plane if there is any doubt. Not too sure I'd be happy with that if I was one of the other passengers.

Play them. If they were high risk they shouldn't have been able to travel. Hibs game 6 days away and no doubt they will be tested 2-3 times in that period.

    If they don't play it's a * joke.

    Yep, it's a nonsense.

We've had 0 instances of contracting it or being in close contact with someone while at home.

Yet had Eddie, Bitton, Elhamed all catch it. Christie, Ajer, Moi having to self isolate and miss big games.

Surely there's some legal recourse that we are being denied players that we pay significant wages to?

I'd be sending notices to all FAs to say you can have the players but you will be paying their wages for any time that they're out if they can't return them home safe and well to play our next games.

    Aye mate, it's a joke..

We must be one of the worst hit club's over the last 2 international breaks?

If we're gonna be denied our player's back in a massive season for us, in which we've already been hit hard, then maybe we should refuse sending our player's away..

Particularly some of these dead rubbers for the likes of Bitton and Elhamed. It's completely avoidable and they shouldn't be going..

Celtic are facing another COVID-19 sweat as Kristoffer Ajer and Mohamed Elyounoussi have both been ordered to self-isolate until the weekend.

The pair flew back to Scotland on Sunday after the Norwegian Government stopped their entire national team from travelling to Romania and told them they have to stay in their own homes until Sunday.

All their players and staff have been told to self-isolate for 10 days from Friday and if that holds then Ajer and Elyounoussi will miss Celtic’s weekend clash at Hibs.

Celtic are waiting to find out the full details.

The Norwegian Government took a hardline stance after defender Omar Elabdellaoui tested positive for coronavirus last week.

The team are furious with the decision because they were on the plane for Bucharest when they were stopped from travelling.

They are now in the process of calling up a new squad for their midweek clash with Austria.

Federation president Terje Svendsen said: ”The Norwegian Football Federation believes that we can travel within the regulations.

"The Norwegian Government says no to this.

"We disagree with that, but of course we cannot defy the Government."

Norway’s players also put out a joint statement from Martin Ødegaard, Stefan Johansen and Joshua King.

It read: "We are very disappointed that the authorities are forcing us to stay home," the players said.

"All the other 54 UEFA nations are playing international matches this week except Norway.

"This is very detrimental to the national team's ambitions in the short and long term."

It is another COVID-19 nightmare for the Scottish champions. They lost Ryan Christie, Odsonne Edouard and Israeli pair Nir Bitton and Hatem And Elhamed because they all had to self-isolate on their return from their international trips last month.

They will be able and eligible to play against Hibs according to the rules as they are currently.

If they were ordered to quarantine in Norway then they should've in no way been authorised to travel. This is not the case.

They have tested negative a couple of times pre flight and celtic will be testing them daily too.

Most importantly here, Scotland has NO self isolation period for arrivals from Norway.

Now if they are still testing negative and the Scottish government turn round and tell them they ARE to isolate for two weeks, then there will be some serious * favouritism here imo.

Just like the Christie situation where he wasn't aloud to play against sevco but Tierney was aloud to play for Arsenal on the same day.

If this happens we should blatantly refuse to release our players for international duty.

How can the Norwegian Government order two players to self-isolate in a different country after letting them fly to that country in the first place. Disgusting.

So Norway said they have to quarantine but are allowed to fly back to Glasgow, makes no * sense. Test them and if its negative they should be able to play. Knew exactly something like this would happen, we need to stop letting players go on international duty.

    Norway authorities, undermine Norway authorities.

    Idiots.

They've let guys fly home, those guys will and should be now subject their the home countries rules and regs. Norway can get *.

As others have pointed out, if it were such a * issue, force them to isolate in a hotel ehen their in Norway, don't let them leave. Tje moment you do, you've undermined your own regs so * off.

International football can get so far to * now, if my opinion wasn't clear.

Clubs are having seasons derailed unnecessarily because of their greed in their allowing of this bullshit global travelling of 100's of players who then mingle eith 100's more who are all outside the domestic bubbles.

Honestly, Celtic really should be coming out with a clear stance about this now, not just a little quip from the manager in a presser, the club publicly need to * stick their boots right up fifa, * this * *.
