Was outstanding yesterday from the first whistle. Carrying the ball forward and getting into great attacking positions. Kept the defending simple which is key for him - it's when he tries to get fancy that he causes himself problems.

Would be delighted if he can find consistency and kick on next season to become a key player - I don't doubt he has the quality!

Thought his pairing with big Ajer looked really good.

Will they * defend Boyata and Sinclair, two of biggest whipping boys for our support.
Jozo has had criticism based on some honking performances in the past. One good game doesn't mean previous criticism based on previous games is suddenly unfounded.

We know he has these type of performances in him which makes him a frustrating player, also the fact he can’t play on a those * plastic pitches doesn’t help him either.

Yesterday was the player we know is in him. He needs to turn it into consistency and it maybe a cliche but it turned Boyata’s game around when he was looking useless.

Wasn't tested defensively but night and day with Boyata which makes all the difference in terms of controlling the football match.

    Don't like him mate..

Don't like his attitude. Don't like his half arsed displays that are all too common. Diving in. Getting caught under the ball. Passing poor..

He played well at the weekend, but he has to do a helluva lot more to win me over. The performances he's put in at Tynecastle for example were transfer list-worthy alone..

Aye man he was dreadful at Tynecastle. His confidence took a battering in the two PSG games for me. Looked solid before then, most people were delighted his move to Torino didn’t work out.

I remember when we played PSG in our first CL game last season, I was thinking Jozo was the man to possibly make a difference for us in Europe. He had a bit of an aura about him, with his solid performances in the season before. Cavani wrecked him in that game though and that was the catalyst for his gradual fall from grace, in my mind atleast.

I hope he can get back to a level of consistency that garners our trust

Similar to ambrose in that respect, looked class untill he was stupidly played against juve, inevitably had a shocker and it totally destroyed his confidence. Looked a totally different player thereafter, to the point he was bossed by a Lincoln red imps striker.

Disagree, he had a very physical battle for most of the match with Cosgrove, the fact he won near every battle with him made it easy for us defensively. Also made a cracking sliding tackle in the first half.

I agree he’s definitely far better than Boyata when he plays like that, just need to see it from him consistently.
