He's injury prone these days though.

Is this some kind of affliction where people can’t see the last 5 years with James Forrest? Every time he gets an injury he’s “made of chocolate”, “constantly injured”, “done”.

It’s utterly * bizarre that people keep peddling this pish. James Forrest hasn’t been fighting injuries for years now yet some people just point blank refuse to see what’s right in front of them.

He got a bad injury last season, it happens. He is still coming back from said injury. He will be an important player - yet again- for us this season.

Sell him? What an idiotic * suggestion.

James Forrest with 419 club appearances. Aye, a total sick note…

    Yep..

The reason he picked up his injury last year was because Lennon was playing him through an ankle stress fracture :giggle1:

Aye, in the top 20 I think of all time appearances. Not too bad that for a ‘sicknote’

Is this the same injury from last year, what even is the problem? Bit of a worry at this point.

Had to check I wasn’t in the Mikey Johnston thread when I read this - genuinely.

    Ludicrous.

Returning to training in 7-10 days apparently.

All I will see is thank *, we desperately need him around the squad.

So that means he is out for this weekend as well but likely back the following weekend. Lets hope that is all it is. He is a big miss.

It’ll depend on exactly what the injury is. He may well need the same time again on top of that (at least) to build up fitness/strength prior to being ready to play, which is a shame because Raith Rovers next Thursday could be the ideal time to get a few some much needed game time (Giakoumakis and Scales in particular).

From the sounds of it maybe he might be fit enough to make the bench for Raith next Thursday. We will see but as long as its nothing serious and long term thats vital as we need a fully fit Forrest. His goals and his drive are so vital for us.

Huge loss for European away games, can take you 50 yards up the park when you’re swamped and he’s extremely reliable in possession never mind how dangerous he can be at his best.

Lennon is * disgusting, what an absolute pig of a manager, completely * up some players for months because of his own stupid ego. *.

If hes back in 7-10 days i would leave it a further 10-14 days before thinking about giving him game time , think he gets rushed back to quick each time as we have not really had a replacement for him the last few years so think that could hVe an impact on the injuries

Just feel he's going to flourish in Ange's system when back..

The movement of Jota, Kyogo and the link up play with his old pal Rogic coupled with his composure in the final third could be very exciting indeed. He can also defend v higher calibre opposition, something which Abada was good at yesterday but has been lacking from his game.

Can't wait to see him back soon, not too far away now.

He’ll make a massive different just with how good he is at taking the ball under pressure and keeping it never mind how good he is going forwards and his goals and assists or how hard he works and how good he is defensively.

    Been a massive miss.
