Desmond coming out defending the board, I don’t trust that * 1 bit btw. We don’t have a desire to progress as a club, months ago it was know Maloney would be in charge of Celtic next season putting MON in there is to divert away from the impending flak they will get *

You’re not telling me for a * minute Rodgers approved the signing of Inamura, for example. A player who arrived and Rodgers basically called *

Do not, for one moment guys, believe that DD piece.

If anything that DD piece screams kit that Desmond was the rat * that went to the Sun.

It would explain why the board had no appetite to investigate it. Because what could they really do knowing it came from the largest shareholder?
They can't sack Desmond, so there is no need to investigate it.

Desmond has shown his true colours there and I really hope Rodgers comes back at him for that now.

    * any sort of non-disclosure.

As @James also says, if any of that DD statement is true (may we add awfully random and petulant from a guy who never peeps up about nothing), then just sack Rodgers months ago? Not like we didn't just gift HMrc £12m, so paying off £3m for Rodgers last year of a contract shouldn't have even been a thought.

A club sitting with the guts of 100 million in the bank refused to sack a manager they just put a hit piece out on minutes after accepting his resignation. These * on the board namely Desmond who put his name to the statement (unlike usual) thought this would be a good idea and get fans back on side ? How out of touch and poorly can you read a room ffs. The full club needs gutted top to bottom

I appreciate him for the unprecedented success he’s delivered over his two spells, but more importantly I thank him for having the bollocks to call out these * in public.

I will thoroughly believe until my dying day, that despite his faults, Rodgers wanted the very best for this football club.

He wanted to see us progress, to meet our full potential, hence the constant friction between him and our archaic board, who are happy to see us stagnate, and see us fall further and further behind the progressive modern football clubs around us in Europe with a fraction of our resources.

This board would’ve let the season become unsalvageable as they always do. If he’s resigned, then fair * to the guy.

All the very best to him.

Do you remember when they gave the sun the story that Rodgers wanted out?

Do you remember they didn't even investigate this club 'leak'?

Aye, Rodgers is the problem being disingenuous...

While we’re at it why has Desmond who isn’t the owner by the way believe it or not has just put a hit piece out on a senior employee.

He could tank the stock price and spook investors let’s hope this can be a major sea change to get him and his rotten family out of Celtic for good

Rodgers had to go - if anyone knows Fudgie they know a lot of stuff is all about him. He had to go no matter what. He had lost the changing room. You cannot come out with some of the statements he has come out with in recent weeks. Board should have sacked him for the Honda Civic statement. Not taking sides with board but Rodgers had to go. We now have a fresh start. Lets get behind the team on Weds night. Good luck to Martin & Shaun.

Listen mate, I'm a pragmatist and I believe in myself, and if the Board move in the direction I suggest, then I am happy with that. If we had waited any longer, the league may have been out of sight, it might still be out of sight, but at least we have a fighting chance now of salvaging our season, but we still have mountains to climb. Dispensing with Rodgers, and we wish him well, may just put the frighteners up McInnes at the prospect of who we may get as his replacement, and upset Rohl's game plan for Sunday.

We had to act, we had no other choice. This is not about the Board or even Rodgers.
It's about Celtic FC period. We need to stop this polarisation and get on with the job at hand.
Somebody on here last week, no names, no pack drill, said I hadn't a fucken scooby about football.
    Right you are :57:

Could be true though, Rodgers is a wee lying rat *, he could have * us on purpose to create a disaster and get sacked.

But now it's starting to look bad on him he's walked.

Yet when we've seen Inamura he's played really well. Shin Yamada 100% better option that Johnny * Kenny. So even if he didn't sign off on them, why not at least play them to give the team a chance?

That statement from DD is pure lip service and trying to put all the blame on Rodgers.

if he had all these concerns why didn’t g
He just * him off then?

Why couldn’t we sign players all * summer, we did we get left with thread bare squad? Sorry but this is utter bullshit and trying to turn it all on Rodgers!

is there some truths in there? Possibly but most of it is lies to try and make them look good.

    * me, * is going on. Our manager resigns (don't blame him) and the moustached parasite and the feckers on the board give us an aging MON and Shaun Maloney. They are totally shafting each and every one of us and, as for that statement, stick it right up your *. Im fecking raging

Im not saying he should’ve or shouldn’t have here. The point is Desmond is clearly lying.

FWIW, I’ve said Rodger should’ve given Yamada more minutes

starting to wonder whether the board put out the standard statement and let it be but desmond was like 'hold my beer' and demanded his go out as well. No matter what i think of the board i think they probably werent expecting words like that from him either
