Another start and he's been pitiful..

Can't beat his man whatsoever. So ineffective..

Seems better off the bench against tired legs..

Genuinely felt like we were playing with 10 men today.

That's the difference between him and Maeda, even when Maeda is having a bad game, he's still everywhere, Abada hides.

Earned his start tonight with his performance on Sunday.

Earned his spot on the bench for Saturday with his performance tonight.

He's difficult to pin down. Never quite know what you are going to get from him. Games you think he's the guy for it and it doesn't work out, then games you'd maybe want another option and he blitzes it.

His numbers are fantastic though tbf. No complaints from me there.

He has incredible attributes and * ones almost in equal measure.

However, he is extremely young and by all accounts willing to learn and whilst he’s in that process and his movement and finishing are as good as they are he’ll still get plenty game time.

Young guy trying to find his consistency. Looking for support from his 'supporters' and getting jumped upon at every opportunity. Standard.

Was really poor last night, he is either brilliant or terrible, there doesn’t seem to be much in between with Abada. We have seen both since Sunday.

That square ball for Kyogo just before he came off, you would be raging if an under 12 player made such a poor effort on his strong foot too. It should have been a certain goal after the pass from Ralston.

Get him back on the bench and use as an impact player. Brilliant at that

After a period in which he was on the bench, Liel Abde started yesterday (Wednesday) for the first time in the Celtic lineup in the league since February. The Hoopers beat Harts 1:3, and Abda's successful season continued.

Abda himself was not involved in any of the Scottish champions' three goals, but with 10 goals and 5 assists in 28 games this season, most of them as a substitute. Abda was involved in a goal every 81.8 minutes in the league, and recently scored and assisted in 45 minutes after coming off the bench in which his team turned 1:0 into 1:5. Following this, one question arises: why is he not playing anymore?

One possible explanation belongs to the Celtic coach, Ange Postokoglu . Postokoglu is an Israeli believer: "He was a child when he arrived here, 19 years old. He is a very significant winger who is looking for ways to improve, he needs to make better decisions and continues to learn. He has amazing numbers for a winger, but he still does not know how to utilize his talents in a way The best. It suits his style of play.

Abeda often plays next to Kyogo Furohashi, Celtic's fiery centre-forward, and Postecoglou may not be happy with the partnership between the two and Abeda's own defensive contribution. The Israeli is one of Celtic's youngest players, and in the last game he didn't even kick on goal or complete a key pass even though he started in the lineup and played 71 minutes.

But the reason may be different. Abda himself, who participated in a conversation open to the Israeli national team's media, admitted that "I'm coming up as a substitute, there are things behind it that people don't know. I don't want to go into too much detail."

The Scotland Herald claimed that it is possible that the deadlock in negotiations on a new contract has an effect and leads to Abda's removal from the squad. Abda has a contract for another three and a half years, but received an improved offer from Celtic during the offseason and has not yet signed it.

Southampton and Crystal Palace from the Premier League expressed interest in him last January, so there is a fear that Celtic is trying to "freeze" Abda in an attempt to keep him for next season and not sell him to the English league. Since the closing of the transfer window, as mentioned, Abda has not started in the lineup for a month. In the last two games in which he came on as a substitute, he scored two goals and assisted one more

    Drives you mad this boy..

Putting it in to space on the volley or sending their whole defence for a fish supper with a lovely turn, only to take a heavy touch and trip over when one on one with Marshall:56:

Incredible talent. Going through a bit of an up and down season but his numbers are still class. 12 goals and 7 assists this season with plenty of sub appearances in there. Big, big contributor to this Celtic side.

Liel Abada 'rejected' new Celtic deal as Premier League move awaits

It has been claimed that Liel Abada "wants" to leave Celtic.

The Israeli winger's former club's president insists that the 21-year-old rejected a new contract at the Scottish champions in recent months.

Avi Luzon claims Abada could've been sold in the January transfer window, but he wanted to hold out until the summer for a move.

The Maccabi Petah Tikva club chief now says that he's "90 percent" certain Abada will get a move to the Premier League before the start of next season.

The pacey attacker was one of Ange Postecoglou's first signings at Celtic Park in the summer of 2021, joining for around £3.5million.

His goals and assist numbers have been outstanding since then and he's played a big part in the success of the Hoops under Postecoglou.

He's won the Premiership and two League Cups. He could be on course to lift the Treble this term with the rest of his teammates.

However, Luzon insists Abada will be Premier League-bound this summer, with his days at Celtic now numbered due to his desire to move on.

Luzon told One Sport: “I believe he will be sold in the summer to the Premier League. There were talks already in the last window, but he didn't want to be sold.

“They offered him a contract extension and I know he didn't agree, because he wants to be sold. I don't know the names of teams, but there are offers and I believe at a probability level of over 90 percent that he will move to the Premier League in the summer.

“I hope that he will continue to score goals until the end of the season and then he will be sold for sure."

I'm fine with him leaving. He's good but we could improve still. It's the type of player we can get big money for without actually weakening our team.

He is probably one of our most sellable assets right now. 21 and scores double figures 3 seasons running. This season 12 goals and 7 assists, last season 15 goals and 12 assists.
Id be surprised if he had no takers. I'm confident we could get £12m for him.
