Since 7.10am this morning a Song Thrush has been belting out it’s lovely song near my bedroom window. Bird Song is so soothing and priceless and this is on of my favourite songs:49:

I remember as a 10 year old boy transfixed by a singing Song Thrush On Top Of a House in the old Cul-De-Sac my family used to live on and my mate’s 15 year old brother said “What’s the fuss, it is only a Song Thrush”. I thought to myself what does he know.

It's one of the best songs in nature good friend. My daughter and I once stood for around 25mins listening to a Song Thrush singing at Hoggenfield Loch. It sat on top of a tree and sang it's heart out. Absolutely beautiful.

They're looked down a lot because they're seen as drab Susan, but I've watched a Dunnock many times in my back garden and they are great, wee cheeky *. And I do like that in a bird. Just like a Black-Headed Gull, cheeky wee *, but that's what makes me like them even more.

Yesterday I finally got round to my first bit of gardening of the year, and just as well as an Army of Brambles were strangling my big Bee friendly Bush, it is fine now!! While i was doing this and tidying up the Wild Flower Beds a small flock of Long Tailed * were right next to me on the Feeders, also a Tiny Goldcrest called as it went right past me.

And this morning on my local patch a cool male Blackbird had caught a worm so me and Ruby waited a few moments on the Woodland path until he had finished his Meal. Further into the walk I came across 2 Female Blackbirds fighting and also a cool Peregrine flew right past me 15 minutes later.
