Johnstone and Afsha don’t really excite me. I’ll be honest.

I was hoping for someone slightly younger than both to come in and kick us on. At 24 and 26, I don’t really see where these guys kick on. I know they’ve never worked under Ange but I really feel like someone in the Sugawara/Couto bracket would be much more exciting. Also, Gloukh or Vetlesen to replace O’Riley in the summer, preferably both and patch Turnbull anaw.

Maybe they’re out of budget and not possible. I just feel as if we could really kick on with more talented players. As always, I’ll trust Ange and the recruitment team. They’ve not got much wrong so far.

Hopefully everything goes well, what is the operation for if you don’t mind me asking mate? It’s shocking they won’t allow you both in with her.

Sure mate no problem, so she has had a complete reconstruction of her ear drum in her left ear. It involves skin grafts and tissues taken from her head behind her ear and things like that. I didn't realise how much work it was tbh. All in all it was around a 3 hour operation.

She is 10 years old and has extreme anxiety issues that started when covid happened. She has been so brave today and I'm extremely proud of her.

I believe covid issues within the hospital were the reason both of us couldn't be with her at the same time. A lot of chopping and changing so we both could be with her.

My Grandson had that operation year before last in the height of Covid poor wee guy couldn’t have any one with him he was 11 and when he came out they sent a photo look like a war child with a bandage wrapped round his head a ear

he is all better now and his hearing is good so hopefully she will recover quickly kids bounce back quick, and hopefully she’ll get better with the anxiety as she gets older. My own daughter suffered that as a teenager but she grew out of it.

I am not sure there is anything in the Afsha rumour, I am with you on Gloukh or Vettlesen. We are definitely keen on Gloukh but I don’t think he will move until the summer.

Vettlesen will move and shouldn’t be out of our price range, Berg went for about £3.5m - £4m and he was probably higher rated. Also most of their big money sales have flopped so I wouldn’t expect Vettlesen to go for much more than £4m, especially given he only has one year on his deal.
