Penalty for a blatant hand ball ignored.
Abada wrongly called offside.

Three massive incidents that needed looked at, and they got them all wrong, with the use of VaR for them as well.

Hearts get two Pens, first is up for discussion, for me, if that happens anywhere else on the pitch, they wave it on. Two players going for a 50/50 ball and outstretched legs, neither in control of the ball at any point. Both doing the exact same thing.
Second one, fair enough. But if they are using var to confirm that second is a penalty, then I expect a lot more penalties during the season, as that * gets overlooked in every * game.


Contrast to the Huns getting the benefit of VaR, where the ref gives a yellow and then upgrades to a red - something we was all led to believe wasn't going to happen under var, but even still, VaR confirms it would be just a yellow.

Mental.

Day one of this *, this is how it's gonna go most weeks.


For us though, 3 great points, they drop, we go clear by 4.

Up the Huns, up the refs and * the VaR.

Anyone got a clip of our disallowed goal? No highlights showing it anywhere. Same for Abada, no highlights I've seen have shown it.

My IPTV went to * near half time and then into the 2nd half pausing and buffering, strangely the replay this tonight just now is doing exactly the same.

Was this a broadcast problem did other people suffer from the same poor coverage ?

 

Funny how they showed the lines for the Hearts goal but we haven’t seen the one for Abada’s. I thought with VAR it always showed the lines. It looked close.

 

For transparency they should have, if there is nothing to hide then why not show it?

 

It should always be shown.

Alot of astute posters on the filth thread predicted exactly how this system was going to be used *abused; a single weekend of football has shown it to be accurate.

The masons in the hut are gonna go dark everytime we have an incident, whereas they're gonna be like hawks with binoculars for Der Hun, searching for any and every advantage, no matter how innocuous.

 

Ref was right there a couple of yards away, wasn't even a quick shot the hand hit, it was a slow chip so not at speed the ref would miss it.

 

More shooting low lads, it brings results.

Tbf thomson dug him out on it and said it was a pen all day long actual slagged him on it said something along the lines but michaels always right was pretty bitchy lol

Just watched Sportscene, so satisfying to win despite all the cheating and get it up them all but come on to * man. That pen we never got and why no multiple replays and fancy coloured lines in freeze frame for Abada's offside goal, the supposed fouls for our disallowed goal were soft as * and he couldn't blow quick enough, also their first pen you could make a case that their player charges in studs up and should be our free kick but that's maybe a bit green tinted specs.
Michael Stewart has some wild takes on the pen incidents, says thank goodness for VAR or there would have been a stonewall penalty denied for their first that initially wasn't given, then goes on to say how ours that wasn't given defo wasn't and recites the rules basically contradicting himself on every point saying Smith moves his arm away from the ball... how does he end up touching the ball if he moves his arm away then dipshit that's literally the opposite of what would happen.
I'm rambling but you get the point it's pretty exasperating.

i dont get how you can throw your leg in front of someone already swinging his leg to kick a ball and win a foul or penalty in todays case . that blatant bit of cheating at the handball had me furious ,it is clear as * what var will be used for
