They did a thing with the queen and Paddington during the jubilee. So it has kind of stuck. People have bought hundreds of Paddington toys and marmalade sandwiches and put them Green Park. All these Paddingtons will now have to be incinerated and the marmalade sandwiches won't be put into food recycling as Royal Parks don't have a food waste collection. A bit weird.

    * the crown means * the whole institution that is monarchy but they wanna jump on the band wagon and see it as disrespecting the queen as an individual

Was so annoyed at all the Swiss wallopers who mourn Lizzy and disrespect our ancestors who died to free us from the monarchist scum hundreds of years ago already, that I had to listen to the Rebs the whole day.

Was a good day. Up the 'RA! Up the Rebs! Up the offensive banners for the snowflakes! :RedFinger

It's not a celtic thing, it's not an Irish thing, it's not a religion thing....it's normal people seeing this pantomime for what it is.

What they don't understand is it's nothing personal against the dead queen (imo), it's about the establishment and being pressured into honouring those without honour.

I'm not a religious man anymore, but hearing the "king" take his protestant vows, to hear commentators laugh about John Knox ridding the country of catholics, to pay my taxes to subsidise a paedophile, to now follow a man who couldn't even keep his marriage vows, to watch millions being spent on this while we have food banks queued and in the midst of a mental health crisis, families afraid to put the heating on!

If this was a film no * would believe it.

Agree with all of this, it's * bizarre that people get offended if others aren't willing to share in their enforced grieving for someone (and everything they represent) who never did anything for them, quite the opposite if anything, or even knew they existed.
Spend the money for flowers on food bank donations or spend the time waiting in a daft queue to look at a coffin volunteering at a homeless shelter or something. It's like something out of Black Mirror or an Orwell novel.

I’m sat in a hotel bar in menorca and a cockney is playing to stereotype, * * wish I could record this it’s priceless. He’s going to have to get up early to get a seat, will be inconsolable, greatest country in the world, etc….. Paul whitehouse would be proud of this character. I’m away to watch the game * myself.

All the local businesses around me are putting signs in the windows and on Facebook, "in respect of lizzy popping her clogs we won't be open 19th September". Just be honest "because of the negative backlash we fear we will get and to cut on staff costs we will not be opening on 19th September".

Look at all those flowers, all those £2.99 garage forecourt flowers!

millions of pounds worth left to rot in plastic wrappers.

just think if every one of those were food bank donations to the same value,

I am not denegrating their paying respect if they want to but what a waste!

Why do they keep reiterating this ‘deep sense of duty’ comment in regards to the monarchy as a whole? What does this even mean?

Love when someone makes a noise during a silence and they all start shouting at the person, making it appear worse.

Just seen Macron there. His hair is always immaculate, but then he has been well "groomed" since he was at school.
