Never thought I’d see the day

 

Yes. What's so hard to understand. Our starting 11 and first 2 or 3 subs will be players who were here last season. Therfor we haven't improved our starting 11, ie we haven't signed anybody new who will be an automatic starter.

In time I expect some of our new signings to challenge for a place in the first 11, but I don't expect to see any of them start tomorrow and I don't think anyone else does.

As I said it's been a great window, we've got a much better bench than we had. Also I understand how hard it would be to find players who we could afford who are better than our current first 11.

The fact that we haven't signed anyone who can go straight into our first 11 isn't a criticism, but a testimony to how good our first team is.

A lot of outgoings who weren't of benefit to us any more, or their time to leave had come. That's just as good business for us as the incoming transfers. Time will tell with the new signings but things look promising thus far.

The only players from that list of outgoings worth keeping would be Rogic, then arguably Bitton and Dembele. But given that it seems Ange didn't rate Dembele's overall game too highly then there isn't a whole lot we're missing with those players leaving.

 

Barkas in goals would see them relegated.

Wonder what the buy price is? Hopefully about £2m at least.

 

Take anything and just cut our losses.

 

There isn’t a buy option in that loan deal,
I think we are hoping he finds his AEK form there so we can sell him for a decent fee.

I would imagine given the Ajeti buy option to Stum Graz is £2.1m then we would be looking for about the same for Barkas.

I think that is why there wasn’t one put in as Celtic believe his stock was lower than his actual value and if he had a good season they could try get more for him then, than agree a price now.

 

Need to see those five saves to believe it!!
