It just happens sometimes that a player doesn't suit a particular team or manager, or they simply go to a new level all of a sudden. For example, I remember Serge Gnabry being pretty useless at Arsenal then doing great things elsewhere.

Any number of examples but Jota has worked out extremely well for us and I reckon a lot of it is down to Ange's attacking instincts. His dramatic improvement this season is likely down to Harry K's involvement also. Harry was also an attacking winger with a lethal shot from distance.

We really need to start picking up some gems from Portugal and the Netherlands that don't make the grade at the big clubs.

I know a lot of them go on to nothing but some of them go out and get some game time and make a career for themselves elsewhere - especially the Dutch. Half of the other clubs are made up of freebies from the bigger clubs.

He does this thing where he looks like hes taken a heavy touch and the balls run away from him but then pulls out a belter of a strike or a cross. It's becoming his trait. Did it for both goals yesterday and against Sheep. Did it against Dundee Utd for the cross into Abada's last minute winner aswell.

Special special player, so glad we've got him tied down on a 5 year contract.

I think he looks better than he did last season. Could possibly be down to him having his future sorted now and there is no uncertainty. He was very good last season, but he seems to be playing with even more freedom now in my opinion. Or the fact he is maturing as a player and naturally improving. Something a few people questioned when they were saying we were “standing still” when signing both him and Carter-Vickers.

Absolutely we need to do this.

Much like young talent that get swept up by the machines like City, PSG and maybe a few others of the large clubs of that ilk.

There is also teams like Benfica and Ajax who an outstanding rate of developing talent themselves and always seem to have a raft of players constantly coming through, enough so that guys like Jota for whatever reason, just don't get the right amount of game time.

We totally should be looking in the gap like you say...there is easily more like Jota out there from clubs like Benfica, Ajax, Dortmund and such

To be fair we probably do look at a lot of players like that, but because of things like wage demands or the league we play in, might deter them.

How likely is a call up if this form continues? I’ve no idea who even plays for Portugal attacking wise apart from Ronaldo obviously.

Not very. They have Bernardo Silva, Fernandez, Diego Jota and Joao Felix

I hope whoever made that video isn't on here because that's got to be the worst combination of music and editing I've ever seen in a compilation video :giggle1:

I notice him and Harry having a hug and a good natter at the end of the game. Dream come true for a young winger to have the chance to be coached by someone like Kewell. Harry may turn out to the signing of the season.

I'd love Celtic TV to do an in depth interview with Harry about what he's doing with the team.

It never happens with us mate, we don’t give a glimpse into that side. However, the Aussie Ange Homecoming, might give an extra wee exposure for us if we allow Harry Kewell to appear to the forefront as well, so I’m hopeful of that at least.

Ange’s next MotM though, if Kewell’s done something particularly well he’ll highlight it. He’s used the rest of them as an opportunity to praise the team behind him, legend that he is.

He's due a goal on Sunday. Hasn't scored since the Killie game.

Must be hard on the lad being in such a poor run of form.

Confidence is key got these types of players.

    Getting noticed this lad

My best mate from uni who loves Celtic (Mum is irish) text me to say he'd love Man Utd to buy Jota (season ticket holder Man Utd but watches us and comes up when he can)
