Bit of a strange one agreed but maybe the mega bucks offers were a bit thin on the ground. I think he'll be a guaranteed starter if hooks up with Lennon there. A Celtic squad player is a first team player for them I would think, regardless of what went on before. If it's true right enough.

Pretty sure it's been confirmed that this was just a rumour in the Greek press that was found to be untrue before it was spread by Celtic twitter and our media. That's according to the twitter account who first reported it and John McGinley.

Doubt it, he ruled that out when he left and according to Oz media A-League sides who have approached him have been rejected and told he has no intention of playing in the A-League anytime soon.

According to Autralian media Tom is back in the UK but his agent (Josh Barnett) is declining to comment on his future plans. This is also Mooy's agent and in contrast when Mooy was available on a free Barnett was doing lots of work with the press to advertise him. Would have to assume that he has been asked by Tom not to do so on his behalf. Feel like retirement or a break from football for personal reasons is looking more and more likely.

With the future of longtime national team playmaker Tom Rogic in the ether after his departure from Celtic and decision to sidestep Australia’s World Cup playoff wins over UAE and Peru, the importance of Hrustic has never been greater.

While back in the UK after a brief trip to Australia, there are no indications of where next for Rogic, 29, with his British agent Josh Barnett declining to comment on the path ahead.

There have even been suggestions the mercurial Rogic might simply slip quietly into retirement after his nine-year stay with the Hoops.

Meulensteen remains in ‘the dark’ over when, or even whether, he will resurface for club or country again.

“We don’t really know why he pulled out at the last moment (for the playoffs against UAE and Peru for apparent ‘personal reasons’),” he said. “And we don’t know where his thoughts are with the future. We’re in the dark.

“We’ve offered all the help we can through Football Australia and the PFA and we really aren’t any the wiser.”

If he is dealing with personal stuff I'm not sure staying in the Glasgow goldfish bowl would have been helpful to him tbh.

    I hope he’s okay.

Hopefully nothing more sinister than he’s just a bit fed up with football and wants to do something else with his life.

I just want to hear that's he's OK...

I miss the lad, everything about him seems so likeable, hope there isn't anything else more deeper going on and the lad is just taking a proper, extended break away from the game entirely.

Hopefully he has a strong support network around him

    Hope he's okay.

Wouldn't want him back here, though. He was a good player for us and gave us loads of amazing memories, but it was the right time to part ways.

Kind of * for him to come out and say that, just puts the spotlight more on Tam when obviously he’s trying to deal with something.

Hopefully he sorts himself out and gets a team sorted.
