Player Suggestions

Wasn't me that suggested him last summer but brought his name up in May - maybe naively thinking he was a potentially realistic target for next season. He's a monster of a center back and decent enough on the ball.

South Korea definitely have a few interesting players though.

 

Think I remember saying he looked class then a poster said he was quite weak or something..

Might be getting mixed up though..

Ange did specifically mention South Korea last summer as a pretty slept on market..

Long shot but Florian Grillitsch's move to Fiorentina fell through. 6' 2", tons of experience and coming into his peak years at 26. Him and Calmac sitting deep could work for us in Europe.

Sonny Perkins would also be a cracking signing on a free. Only turned 18 in Feb but got 12 goals in 21 games for West Ham u23s last season. Leeds currently after him but reckon we could offer him more minutes.

 

Any reports why Grillitsch didn't sign for Fiorentina? Better not be a failed medical... Otherwise a good shout.

 

Fiorentina blaming his agents which probably wouldn't bode well for us getting a deal done tbf.

 

Aye pretty sure the Betis fans were talking about his agent wanting too much money, whilst I was scouting their forum iirc.

So guessing it would possibly be out of reach financially.

Don’t know if he’s already been mentioned but Riqui Puig could be a shout on a loan to buy deal?

 

Would imagine he will go to someone like Wolves or something. Top player though. Barca fans want him to be more involved and I know Messi and Valverde seemed to clash when Puig was left out. Will go to quite a big club in a big league I would imagine

 

The Da’s will have a fit when they see the size of Puig if we go for him.

I see West Brom are heavily linked with a loan move for Hamza Choudhury. Wouldn't be a bad shout for defensive midfield situation. Potentially a loan to buy deal, similar to what we had with CCV. Can fill in at centre back too if required. Can't imagine he would be too expensive. Could maybe get a similar fee arranged around the £6m mark. I'm sure Brendan would want to help us out as much as he can

 

Good player but wages would probably make a permanent move impossible.

 

I'll be honest. Not entirely sure what his wages will be like. Don't think they'll be too colossal, especially if he's linked with a championship team and I'm sure he was on loan at Sheffield United in the prem who weren't large spenders.

 

Since Itakura went to Borussia M, perhaps they are looking to move Christoph Kramer on? One can dream of a DM like him. Not a youth project, either.

 

He's a baller but out of our wage and transfer budget I would think.

 

Would imagine he’ll be on about 45k-50k there.

Still only 27 as well, would have been a cracking signing if it was affordable.
