Let's hope they've had to lay off their medical department then.

The injury * him big time, but had he not been injured I feel he'd have been a big part of Ange's plans.

Just wasn't to be. Not the greatest player but certainly not the worst.

Wish he'd lay off the social media though.

I still blame barkas for that injury he got. Decent goalkeeper in between the sticks he wouldn't have had to do it

I really can't see him going on anything other than a loan. I would be very very (pleasantly) surprised if a team would pay a fee for a player in the last year of his contract that has been out so long injured. Especially if it is Schalke that have no money.

As long as they can pay his full wages I think that is as much as we can hope for here.

Up until the injury he was perfectly adequate player... nothing great or amazing...just satisfactory.

Somewhere (albeit closer to) Boyata and Denayer in terms of ability and presence when he was fit and playing for us.

It would have been potentially fun to see what he could have developed with CCV if he could get over his injuries but if he was fit and ready to go....we'd probably have never signed CCV last season.

Even if you get a loan fee and his wages paid rather than paying him a decent wedge for doing nothing due to form of others

Expect us to be signing a CB in the next couple of days now then. Can't imagine Ange would have let him go if we didn't have someone lined up to come in right away.

We triggered a year extension, hence the buy option.

    Hoping that's an obligation purchase.

Always thought he was overrated and his goals seemed to mask his deficiencies for some.

I guess we'll just never know with Jullien. He could have went either way for me. At times he looked the business, at times he looked out of his depth. I personally have no malice towards him.

Can only see it being an obligation they have agreed too. It’s very early in the window to be letting him go on an option to buy loan with a running down contract.

Either that or a decent loan fee being paid.
