I'll always remember his cup final and Lazio winners. Up there with my favourite modern moments.

Good luck wherever he ends up. Best for all he moves on. Sort out your social media though.

They couldn’t afford the fee for Itakura.

Gladbach were gonna pay the fee but apparently City upped the price or something.

Your probably right about his wages. Hopefully we can at least get back half the fee we paid for him if indeed he does get sold which seems likely you would think.

Do folk moaning about what football players write on social media know that they don't have to read it?

Don't think I've ever bothered checking a football players social media pages. Apart from Jacynta Galabadaarachchi's instagram obviously.

Sell him to RB Leipzig with a note saying "Marvin Compper sends his regards".

Strange how it turned out for him, gave us some great moments in his first season but I'll be honest, I never rated him that highly - not for what he cost anyway.

Feel for the guy though as his injury obviously * him. It was a sickener, not many players come back from that. Don't have any real animosity towards him, his social media posts are cringey but they always were. Even when he was flying with us I would roll my eyes at the * I saw on his Instagram, but tonnes of fans lapped it up when it was all rosy.

    Good luck to him!

Christopher Jullien has flown out to Germany to hold talks with Schalke with a view to leaving Celtic this summer.

The Frenchman joined the Hoops back in 2019 for £7million but has found himself out of the loop at Parkhead with Cameron Carter-Vickers and Carl Starfelt Ange Postecoglou's preferred partnership at the back. The centre-half, 29, is even behind the likes of Stephen Welsh in the pecking order after a long-term knee injury kept him out more than a full calendar year

Football Scotland understands Bundesliga outfit Schalke are in pole position to sign the out-of-favour defender who has been unsettled with the lack of game time since his return. Jullien is entering into the final year of his contract in Glasgow and needs playing time. The former Tolouse stopper is also being tracked, according to the Scottish Sun, by Ligue 1 clubs Rennes and Lorient but we understand it is the German club who are leading the race.

Julien seems to be one of those that splits opinion. I liked him,he was by no means maldini but thought he was a great addition when he first arrived. He has some memorable performances here and let's be honest, none of us know for sure how much that injury has impacted his general ability/fitness. Maybe he is no where near the level he once was. Maybe prior to injury Ange might have favoured him. Guess we will never know but I certainly do not hold anything against Julien. As far as I can see he came with the intention to impress, hurt himself trying to stop us from conceding and now he wants game time he is happy to move on. Good luck Julien, brought some quality moments. Lazio games being most memorable of course!

Supposedly its apparently shalke that hes going to , they lost itakura so are actively looking for a cb , plus there was a flight about 8.30 last night going to dusseldorf which is 30mins from where shalke is so would fit into the timeframe of the image he put up

He played well in a lot of games. The games Dykes bullied him stick in people's minds.

I did think there was something odd about him getting zero game time. He can't have fully recovered from his injury or he would have been playing.

I'd be happy with him moving on if we get a fee or we need his wages off the finances.

If he's not fit enough to play for us he's not going to manage playing in Germany.

Given his recent injuries and the fact he has not had a look in since being fit and will be a top earner, being able to move him on for £1.5-2m is not too bad. He also only has a year on his deal.

You only need to look at the bother trying to shift Boli and Ajeti etc
