Not a fan of Paul McCartney and think he’s a poor choice for the Saturday night headline act. The whole lineup this year is pretty *.

Can't believe they're still flogging him.

You'd think he has some dirt on the organisers or something.

He’s 80 ffs. Lived a good life so in decent shape for his age but he’s never a Glastonbury headline act.

I'm not impressed either. He's past it unfortunately.

The song list so far is strange. The crowd don't know the words and the clapping is halfhearted.

The fact Billie Eilish was a headline act tells me all I need to know.

Man these comments did not age at all well. Start of the set was a bit stagnant and the sound was off, but he really took over as it went on.

An absolute legend going out with a legendary set. Brilliant.

I gave up and went to bed after he told a strange story about Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton.
I’ll need to watch the whole thing back but still think he was a strange choice to headline Saturday night.

I didn't think that much of most of the set. The atmosphere and performance noticeably lifted when Dave Grohl and Bruce Springsteen came on stage. After that the set was much better.

arrived home late last night and caught the last 40 mins or so of McCartney (still not the original one, but a musical talent nonetheless).

girlfriend said set was a bit meh so far, but when Grohl then Springsteen came on it seemed to go up a notch for me.

there are not many “legends” left and I mean global icons that haven’t already played there. Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles and ABBA are about the only ones I can think of that would fill the slot.

there are other mega stars, but not in the same stratosphere.

for a guy who is 80 performing the way he did I thought was quite outstanding.

Should have gotten Metallica back for another gig. They were the best I’ve ever seen live:

I thought Paul McCartney was * last night but, to be truthful, I really wasn't expecting much from the auld codger. Too many old singers still trying to do it when they should be just hanging up their microphones. Gigs like that really need a well known current band to headline it like Metallica

In fairness, Metallica are now in their late 50s but they’re still touring everywhere non stop.

A band I can truly say I've followed since the start. Think it was a month or so after they released their second single that I discovered them.
