I don't think he'll be our priority signing for CDM, I think it's more the case we're actually scouting multiple people for the same position, essentially not putting all of our eggs in one basket.

Feels like we've went years scouting one player, and when we miss out on him we have no plan B. It's nice to see us having multiple back-ups if Souza (who I assume is our first choice) doesn't come to us.

 

Think we would've liked him/noticed him for sure.....but too pricey and no a position we needed..

 

Also ugly * are not welcome at Celtic

Loan valid for one season
Mandatory purchase clause of 2.5 million euros + 1 million in variables

For the medium:
Contract valid for three seasons

Hmm. This one doesn't fill me with enthusiasm.

 

Disappointed about this. Will reserve judgement until I see him but to go from Vinicius to him seems a big drop in quality. My guess would be that this means McGregor will continue as the 6 and this guy will replace Bitton as backup. We need proper quality in there though.

 

Souza gave me hope that we were going to be competitive in the Champions League. This guy gives me the opposite feeling. * I hope I’m wrong. Think PSV are going to win the race to Souza.

 

Don't think this guy looks anywhere near as bad as some are suggesting. Clearly his career has dipped in the last couple of years but seems he was a big talent beforehand and going by his videos (I know), he clearly has ability. Big, quick, can pass with both feet and his dribbling is decent enough.

 

Hmm. Will reserve complete judgement on him but would hope he’s not the only one coming in that area if that’s the case.

 

Underwhelming but surely this is 1 of two midfield signings considering we lost both Bitton and Rogic.

 

So underwhelmed if this is happening.

 

I know absolutely nothing about him so can't say much. Does seem as though he's being brought in just to bolster the squad which is probably why it's a bit under whelming

 

Wait and see what happens but if its true is anyone really surprised we have went with the cheaper option?

 

I don’t really understand the negativity around this one either. The club are clearly taking a more analytical approach now, and while Souza looks a player nobody on this forum had heard of him before the rumours. So the proclamations of him being a midfield saviour are a bit premature.

Jota was a struggling player prior to joining us. Sometimes it just takes the right environment and he’s clearly got something about him.

 

Can't be as underwhelmed as some appear to be, as don't really know anything about him. Didn't know anything about Kyogo, Juranovic, O' Riley, Maeda, Jota, or Hatate before last season either in all honesty.

 

Presumably a squad replacement for Bitton.

If he's being signed for the first team it's an ominous sign.

 

I'm glad we're disappointed mind we was disappointed with oriley over that Moor? Or something.. love it. We was probably disappointed with wanyama aswel. The best types of players imo.
