£25m for Bassey isn’t realistic though. It’s just a figure they are claiming he is worth. Like Barasic was £15m at one point…Morelos £30m and Kent £25m etc. They literally thinking about every player in their squad is worth stupid money but there’s hardly been any interest In their players for years. They have sold one player of note in about 15 year.

Unless the overall package deal has a minimum value of £35million, any club sounding interest in him can take a flying * off a bridge.

Positive news, makes a lot of sense with the WC coming up.

For what it's worth, it doesn't surprise me one bit that there is interest and that he might want to leave. Like others have said, his age means he'll want to progress fast and earn as much money as possible. He's also clearly ambitious, going by previous comments and the fact he left Legia so quickly after signing. Ultimately i think I'll be fine with him leaving so long as it happens early enough in the window for us to replace him, and it comes with a fee around £20mil.

Depends on if the player wants the move or how much but with 4 years left on his contract we could hold on another year and his price wouldn't go down. If he had a good world cup then it goes up.

He will want to play in the world cup, he knows hes first choice at club and country now, if he has a storming world cup the sky is the limit and he can move on next season to whichever club he chooses.

Thing is we will be a victim of our success under Ange unless we see the foundations being laid that allow us to broaden our scouting horizons and have some sort of equivalent to the likes of clubs like Dortmund, Ajax, Salzburg etc... who seem to churn out regular transfers for promising talent season after season recently mixed with aged players in the likes of Josip who are above age of 25.

It seems like we are getting there to an extent so as others have said, as long as its early enough in the window... and we get a great fee for him then let him go. With the success Ange brings, so will it, bring attention to the players he is improving and put into the limelight in Europe

Thought it was a strange claim yesterday. Not sure if it was something stirred up by an agent or something.

He's built up a lot of followers on Twitter that Romano character, but nothing I've ever seen him post has been that groundbreaking. Everyone is a journalist on Twitter.

He was on the button before wasn't he?

Some good point's as well about Juranovic if he does go to a good EPL side....would he be a guaranteed starter with the World Cup only month's away. Didn’t think of that myself..

I do think we'll get another year but that will be our lot..

It would be daft to punt him before the World Cup

    Just looked at their group

    Belgium
    Morocco
    Canada

No the easiest group at it but you'd fancy them and Belgium still to progress. So you could be looking at a player starring and going fairly deep in to the tournament..

Think the fact this world Cup is a "winter" one could just work in our favour only in specific case of Juranovic.

If he storms it with Croatia he's value arguably doubles in price so even if he's £15mill now by end of world Cup we could, fingers crossed, be looking at £30mill.

Will be interesting to see how he deals with guys like Davies and the talent Belgium have.

Could really make a name for himself just against those players in the groups.

I feel like it is just completely made up *, thankfully.

Although anything north of £25m for your second choice RB is good business though. :fear:

Croatia playing Belgium at the right time as well. Belgium are an ageing team man. Watched them get absolutely obliterated by the dutch a couple of weeks ago. Croatia will fancy their chances.

Belgium still relying on Vertoghen, Alderweireld and Boyata at the back. They're finished as a top nation at the minute. De Bruyne keeps them as high as possible but even the likes of Lukaku, Eden Hazard and Mertens are done.

However, lots of media still have them as one of the favourites for the tournament. Croatia could win that group. Then you're looking at a guy who has performed at the world cup and the champions league, when we progress to the last 16. :fear:

I wouldn't have thought Croatia were much younger side either though?

Either way...they should still feel confident of making it out of the groups. All of which benefits the price tag attached to Juranovic that will just get inflated the further Croatia can try and get.
