Your Wildlife Sightings!

A neat sprinkling of Wheatears passed through my local patch yesterday morning.
This a handsome Male you can just make out with my terrible phone camera on top of this Weather mast

While doing my garden this afternoon i was delighted to see 4 Screaming Swifts Wizz overhead as well as 2 Chattering Swallows and a loan croaking Raven.

A few from yesterdays meander around Raghly, I was taking a few pics of 3 mergansers, the two males were having a right auld barney in a small inlet off the harbour (pics didn't come out very well) when this fine big Brown Hare came down the road, he came right up beside me as if i wasn't there, sat for a couple of minutes and dawdled back up the road again.

 

I was delighted to see a handsome Cuckoo on my local patch this morning, it soon got mobbed by small Song Birds then chased away by a Mistle Thrush. A wonderful local patch sight, I think Johnie sent me some luck to get this, has made my day

This morning on my local patch I was delighted to see my first Osprey of the year, it flew south east over my Town and then east. A glorious sight and my 11th Raptor species of the year
When I heard Gulls going crazy before seeing this cool bird i thought it might well be an Osprey and I was spot on

PS My Mum is 80 today!!! So a fine start to a Fine Family Day

 

I put a bird box in my garden about 6 years ago and never had anything nest in it in all those years. I was going to take it down to start painting my fence when I noticed a small bird hanging around the bird box so, I decided to leave the bird box up . I now have a small bird nesting in it and I have tried to identify it as best as I can as it's so small. I used the RSPB bird identifier and I think it's a either Black Cap or a Coal * however, I now feel like a proud parent
