Meets every bit of criteria that anyone can make up and more.

Well, if McStay had left for the money when it was offered under old board he'd have torn the team apart, so he sacrificed for the club too. He was also a coach at youths, if I remember correctly, but just never wanted/succeeded at going further. Both McStay and Burns we're dedicated and loyal to the club through and through, so are legends to me; and both got * by cheating in hindsight, despite SFA/SPL refusing to recognise it.

Very, VERY tight no for me, on account of time out injured and how he was a bit hot/cold. To me, he was our version of Matt LeTissier, only with more time absent and less served.

    Iconic? 100% Hunskelper? 1000% Legend? ~95%

Edit: Aussie coaches * it a bit too, by calling him away for meaningless matches at critical juncture, and in getting him injured on a few cases. Not their fault per se, but it just rankles

I think people are guilty of underplaying just how legendary a time for the club this has been over the last decade. 9 in a row and a Quadruple Treble. And Tam Rogic was a major, major player for us amongst it.

McGregor, Forrest and Rogic come into the category of guys that were crucial for it, stayed loyal, gave us massive moments and unprecedented success

Not for me, off the top of my head I can't remember him having a dominant game in Europe. Will be fondly remembered though and had some big moments

That is so wrong. McStay and Burns are Celtic legends and are well above Rogic

No for me, although some very important goals that will be remembered forever. As someone has already stated, Iconic, but not a legend in my eyes.

No from me the word 'legend' gets thrown about too easily. Fantastic player, great servant to the club. But not on a Johnstone, Auld or Larsson level unfortunately.

Either are guys like Stevie Chalmers or Tommy Burns though.

Chalmers was a world class striker but he wasn’t on Henrik’s level either or Jinkys, who was legitimately one of the best on the planet in the late 60’s.

Chalmers, regardless of anything, goes down as a legend as being part of the Lisbon Lions. Also a class striker as well, so that helps.
Burns, goes down as a club legend not just for his on field abilities, but his commitment to the club, his love for the club, his work he done for the club etc.

Rogic, doesn't match either of those.

Club legend? Absolutely not - as others mentioned, we're talking the Lions and Henke here.

    He'll be remembered fondly though.

Think Rogic was a major part of the 2nd greatest thing we’ve done in our history, a Quadruple Treble and an Invincible Treble. The only thing that goes beyond that in our history is what the Lions did.

Both the two I mentioned are unquestionably legends btw, just that they aren’t on the same level as Jinky/Henrik as players.

But if we give Rogic the credit for the quadruple treble (not solely of course) then, like the Lions, we would need to elevate all the players (who played active roles) to the status of "legend"
For me, the only one who gets the "legend" tag for the trebles, is Brown for leading it.
Rogic, Bitton, Forrest, McGregor, Griffiths, Tierney, wouldn't dare discuss these guys as legends, but they equally took part in that quadruple treble - it can't be the sole factor. And unfortunately for me, take those trebles out the equation and Rogic didn't do enough to be called a legend for me.

Absolutely a club icon and a tremendous player, just not a legend.

    No chance!!

Only 3 players can be classed as 'Legends' in the past 30 Years in my opinion.

    McStay, Larsson & Brown

Lets not ruin the Legend status!

Rogic comes under 'Club Icon' level at best.

I don't think trophies is the only consideration though. There's certainly an argument for it , but its a no for me. He is in the tier below. A Celtic great perhaps? Legendary should be reserved for * like status for players. Ask yourself this- Do you think Larsson and Rogic belong in the same bracket? If the answer is no, then , by definition, Rogic isn't a legend.

He is to me and that’s all that matters. Rogic is one of few players we’ve had over the years with genuine magic at his feet that could get your * of the seat with such brilliance.
