Looking at whose in this tournament, it really isn’t ridiculous to say we could win it.

I do think bodo will be a tough game, but it also looks like they’ve lost a couple key players and will lose some more! Even if they replace them well, it could take time for them to get back to that level!

Would absolutely love it if we could win this tournament in its first year!

Bodo losing another of their best players.

Erik Botheim is signing for Krasnodar.

They'll probably end up with a front 3 of Bangura, Berget and Shved and beat us 5-0

CB Marius Lode has now left Bodo/Glimt. They are really getting picked apart by the rest of Europe.

Was always going to happen, don't think the league has much appeal for them to be able to bring in talent to replace either..

    Meanwhile we're adding!

Already been snapped up by Hertha Berlin. We should have been all over that though, he looked a right good player.

Should really be turning these lot over. They've lost their top players and it'll be one of their first competitive games.

Having said that, we've lost to worse.

Lets turn over Livy and the Buddies, before we start turning over the teams in Europe

I have seen enough " slip ups " in my time , not to think we can turn over teams in Europe

"Should really be turning these lot over"

They danced in the streets of ,,Raith,Maryhill, Inverness,Dingwall.
Lets not be to over confident.

They've lost Berg, Botheim, Bjorkan and Lode, 4 of their best players.

It still won't be an easy tie, especially if their manager stays, but I think we should win.

Only Lyon, Leverkusen and Napoli scored more goals than us in the Europa League, we have every right to feel confident ahead of this tie.

Even more so now with them losing their captain and top goalscorer as well as a few other first team players.

Just because we’ve lost to Inverness and Raith in the past doesn’t mean we shouldn’t feel confident going into another game ever again.

Yep. Should 100% be beating them over two legs.

We’ve strengthened our team this window and they’ve lost a few of their best players. No excuses.

Who said we're being over confident?

We SHOULD be turning Bodo over. We have no reason not to.

KJETIL KNUTSEN admits he has no idea if Bodo/Glimt will be ready to face Celtic next month.

The Norwegian title-winning boss has seen some of his best talent leave the club since the end of their season.

The likes of Patrick Berg, Erik Botheim, Elias Melkersen and Marius Lode have moved on, ahead of the play-off clash with the Hoops.

Knutsen, right, saw his new-look squad draw 1-1 with Dynamo Kiev in a friendly yesterday, and says it will be tough to have his stars in top shape to face Ange

Postecoglou’s men at Parkhead on February 17.

He said: “We have sold four players who all played for the national team, so it’s a new team I have and we need time.

“Hopefully, we can be competitive against Celtic, but it’s only three weeks until the game and it will be very difficult.

“We really need to use the time now to work hard. Every day is important for us.

“It’s a new situation for us because we are at the start of pre-season — and we’ve never played a team like Celtic in this time.

“That’s the way it is though and for us to have a game against a club like Celtic is perfect in terms of preparation for the new league season in April.

“But how competitive we will be in the games, I don’t know. They are a big club and a good team.

“They like to play attacking football and have many good players, just like Dynamo Kiev do in fact.

“I have been watching the Celtic games, but I will watch more before we play them.

“I have been in Glasgow once and watched them play Aberdeen. I was there on holiday and it was an amazing atmosphere.

“I know Scottish football, and know that Celtic and Rangers are both really good teams.

“For us, it’s a big game and we are all looking forward to it.

“At Bodo we have our own DNA, we have our own style and we always play in the same way at home and away. We play Glimt football.

“But we are a new team and it is about trying to do well again. What will happen in the next three weeks I don’t know, but I hope we can be competitive.”

Knutsen was linked with a move to Rangers following Steven Gerrard’s departure last year, but he refused to confirm if the Ibrox side had been in touch.

He added: “Was there any contact? I don’t know.

“I never talk about other clubs and I am happy to be the coach of Bodo/Glimt.”

    Leeds fan in peace..

I ll be in Glasgow on the 17th....parents used to live in Ashgil near Motherwell. Is this game likely to be a sell out (not sure how seriously you lot are taking the conference). Will there be a General sale? In other words will it be possible to get two tickets.

Of course we are taking it seriously :giggle1:. Look at some of the teams left in the competition. Would be massive to win another European trophy. We don’t turn our noses up at euro competitions that aren’t the cl like you lot. :)
