…Or if you have any understanding of immigration laws and/or how lying on a legal document is illegal… :52::39:

It’s the correct decision, there’s absolutely no two ways about that.

Again, if you agree with the Australian Government’s rules and think they are fine, then yes, you are correct.

Whether it’s Australia or any other country in the world, if you lie through your teeth on your visa application, do you think you should just be allowed in anyway? :43:

All that comes back to vaccination status being an issue for getting into the country on the first place. Which I disagree with.

He was given a medical exemption to play, so he turns up to play but was detained. He is then released by a judge only to be detained again a few days later. It’s still not even resolved.
How is this decisive and how does it not make the Aussie government look bad?

If you turned up at the Australian border with a medical exemption to take part in a sports tournament, would you expect to gain entry to the country?

He’s then got caught lying, meaning that he didn’t actually meet the entry requirements in the first place, and people are blaming the Aussie government?

If it was you or me, we would be booted out sharpish and likely banned for a period of time, if not blacklisted forever.

I think people underestimate the seriousness of what he’s actually done personally. I’m pretty sure that if he did the same thing while trying to enter the US it would’ve been a criminal offence and he would’ve ran the risk of jail time.

I’m not defending him for lying or saying he should be allowed in. He’s done himself no favours here at all.
I said earlier that the Australian government hasn’t come of this well either.
This was disputed and I was just trying to explain why I thought they look bad.

    Fascist rules :giggle1:

Anti-vaxxers are a different breed man. The absolute desperation to be seen as some sort of oppressed figures is genuinely mental illness at this point. It’s incredible.

Whether you agree or disagree with the terms of entry relating to vaccination status, you surely can’t be suggesting that Djokovic was right to intentionally lie to get his way and should be let off the hook now that he’s been found out? :56:

The * lied left, right and centre. Went to events knowing he may have had covid and mixed with other people. Went to a photoshoot when he knew he definitely had covid and mixed with people.

And yet he's the victim here? Nutters.

So you agree that the Australian government are right to rescind his visa?

Therefore it’s not just “probably the correct decision if you agree with the Australian Government’s fascist rules”, it’s just the correct decision full stop?

Haven't you heard? He's REALLY good at tennis. The rules are different if you're good at sports.

He lied on his paperwork, he’s being treated like any other citizen as a result subsequent to that being made apparent.

    What don’t you agree with?

Based on their rules, I think it’s the correct decision. Do I agree with their rules for getting into the country in the first place? No I don’t, as they are discriminatory and treat some of society differently to others, all based on the person’s vaccination status. If people agree with different rules for different people based on jags then that’s up to them.
