Reo Hatate

Hatate is the one I feel most confident will hit the ground running and be an absolute star here. He’s everything we’re crying out for in centre midfield.

 

Cant wait for the lion King song 'Hakuna Matate' to be belted out at Parkhead with his name instead.

Is that his best position? He seems like Juranovic to be quite versatile.

 

I think calling any one position his “best” undermines his overall ability as a footballer, but yes I think he’s being brought in primarily as an “8”.

That said, his versatility is extremely valuable and he’ll be more than comfortable as a left back in Ange’s system. Although he’s small, he uses his body very well to shield the ball and retain it in tight spaces and his ability to play defence splitting passes make him ideal for us against packed defences. He’s loves getting forward into goal scoring positions, but he’s also very hardworking and not afraid to get stuck in on the other side of the game.

All in all, he’s a very technical and well rounded footballer.

Seen that Bhoys Analytics page do a full thread on his stats and it made for good reading.



Hopefully he can carry over that ability to pass and carry the ball forward as it's exactly what we've been lacking at times when Bitton & Turnbull are in midfield for us.

 

According to transfermarkt he's played most of his games at centre mid (21) and then 18 appearances at left back. Has also played as an attacking mid and on both wings. He could prove to be a very smart signing.

 

When is he expected in Glasgow holding the hoops?

 

I've watched every video of the boy about so it doesn't surprise me any of this. He is perfect for us and those stats back that up..
