Never really bothered with alcohol that much. Could drop it anytime and not bother with it in the slightest

I've got a bottle of that, the original one before they stopped production due to lack of barrels. Was one of my favourite whiskys....

I've read the new batch isn't as good as the original?

It's really hard for me to say if one is better than the other as I have never had the opportunity to compare them side by side, and it was a few years between me trying the old one and getting a bottle of the new. They are different, if memory serves the older version was just matured in Olorosso casks, where the newer version is a mix of olorosso and PX casks, but without doing a side by side I'd be loathe to say which was better as both were really good.

I haven't had a bottle from last year (seems odd saying that talking about 2021) after they appear to have started chill-filtering it, so I don't know if that has had a negative impact on the very latest release, but I suspect it will have. So if you are buying a bottle of the newer one, and it's from a shop so you can see the thing before buying, try and make sure it is one that states it is non chill-filtered on the label. There should still be plenty of them around, for a while at least.

Didn’t drink much yesterday… like to feel fresh on NYD… and had some stuff to do early. I went to local supermarket for bottle of wine for tonight though and the booze aisle was like the Marie Celeste…

Couldn't see the floor for feet there on Christmas Eve.

Tanned a half bottle of Jameson’s last night and the birra Moretti are chilling for another couple of hours.

It's easily my favourite and the price is starting to come down too. Used to be £40 but now the Supermarkets are carrying it you can get it for around £30 (slightly below or over depending on the day).

Monkey47 is nice. That's the German one isn't it? Haven't tried the Alkemist so will need to keep an eye out for it.

Nope, its American but been drunk in Scotland for a long time. I remember drinking the Orange one about 30 years ago. In the Summer the Blue Raspberry is nice with Barrs Cherryade :50:

Just had a whisky getting my hair cut in Partaig. A bottle of the finest tonic wine is in order.
