Bodo/Glimt is a decent draw. We should be well improved by then and they might be akin to Ferencvaros- we should be beating them over two legs.

Away game will be a challenge. Playing in Arctic circle on an artificial pitch.

Celtic have been handed a major Europa Conference League boost after Bodo/Glimt captain Patrick Berg all but confirmed he will quit this club when the transfer window opens next month.

The Hoops will travel to Norway for their tie against Glimt, who sent shockwaves round European football by hammering Jose Mourinho's Roma 6-1 this season.

Highly-rated defensive midfielder Berg has been linked with clubs across Europe, including Celtic, after the 24-year-old Norwegian international produced a series of top displays for the champions

And, at an award ceremony where he was named Norwegian Player of the Year, Berg admitted he's almost certainly played his last game for the club.

He said: "This is Glimt's opportunity to get a financially good sale for me because I only have a year left of my contract. I think the club might want to sell me now.

That's the way it is with contracts and football.

"I believe I have developed every single day at Glimt.

"At the moment I am still under contract and I can't comment about specific transfers. My agent and I will sit down with Glimt next week and see what will be best for everyone."

And Glimt manager Kjetil Knutsen rates Berg so highly, he thinks he should be moving to one of European football's big leagues.

He said: "My opinion is he shouldn't consider moving to any championship outside of the big five leagues in Europe.

"I have given him advice about which clubs might be exciting for him and fit who he is as a player. It's up to him if he takes my opinion onboard.

"But it is incredibly important for him that he gets the timing correct and finds the right club."

Would be ideal if we could get him , exactly what we need and would slot into the style of football we play

Good that he'll be away, no doubt won't be the only one..

Reading between the lines there and the probability anyway is he won't be coming here..

    Should be trying for him.

Hopefully Erik Botheim is away in Jan as well, then we walk it ha!

Just saw that Rosenberg let him go for free. must regret that looking at the table

Would love to sign Berg but would guess with Ideguchi likely coming in, we won't be after anyone else in that area of the pitch.

As a club yes but this season they are very much in the hunt to finish second in the French league so I can easily see him going there.

For those looking to go to Bodø, there's a direct flight from Oslo to Bodø on the morning of the 17th with prices starting at around £40 (flyr.com). SAS and Norwegian also do direct flights from Oslo.

So that's Bjorkan and Berg away, big, big losses.

@Nicodemus|FCK who else do they have that are big players? Any others expected to leave?

A fairytale football story. David and Goliath.

They play their own version of Ange ball! They deserve huge respect a great team of players. They humiliated Jose Mourinho.

Should really be going out there and trying to sign both.

Not Nicodemus, but Solbakken, Saltnes, Pellegrino and Botheim are their best players along with Bjørkan and Berg. There are pretty big chances Botheim will leave if they get a decent fee for him in Jan.

Those are indeed the best players and except Saltness it's possible they all leave.
    Bjorkan allready left
Berg allmost certain he will leave
    Pellegrino his contract expires
Botheim + Solbakken have 1 year contract left, but are both hot prospects in the market.

But Bodo has some good upcomming players to replace some of them:
    Hugo Vetlesen Midfield
Elias Hoff Melkersen centre forward (now on loan 1 division lower)
    Victor Boniface centre forward
    Lasse Nordas centre forward
Joel Mugisha left winger (biggest talent 1 division lower last year)
