This is what they think is keeping them safe though.

They know the common fan will tend to always throw their money at the club, in the old thinking that we need to give our money to see it get to the first team.

Reality is, little of it gets there.

Only way we can inflict change is by withholding the one thing these * want, money.

How much is little ? and what happens to the majority of it before it becomes little ?

 

Not disagreeing with you at all there. But the board are right in a way. They know fans will back the team by purchasing ST and strips/trackies etc. That's a lot of money they make from us, the bulk of it I'd say. So the board are right, we do back the club and that won't change. Not even after a season like last year, where they acted the * and fans backed the team to the hilt. Granted it was after a year out of CP, but I don't see the fans changing. They will buy strips and ST as normal. So what changes?? The board make their money and continue to do as they see fit.

 

Their insistence on doing everything on the cheap is now endangering the playing squad.

Having no full time club doctor and a sprinkling of fitness coaches is utterly embarrassing at any our level.

 

In what world can they have looked at that squad in the summer and thought, “Yeah, this is enough”.

It’s as if they didn’t know that injuries are a thing.

They cost us earlier in the season and the players we have are having to work their arses off to make up for that. Montgomery is never a starting quality LB and he’s now pretty much all we’ve got - no disrespect to him. He tries at least. We’re a couple of injuries away from a disaster.

Back the man in January ffs. Maybe if they had we’d be top of the league already.

We are in desperate need of at least 5 players, a LB, CB, DM, AM and ST minimum

 

The sheer volume of folk on here who don’t understand how a P&L dataset works never fails to astonish me.

Plus why the * would Ange have wanted eg another 5 new starts in the summer?! He has said HIMSELF he didn’t. In the last fortnight he has said just this. Do we honestly believe he’s a guy who doesn’t say what he thinks? Bollocks.

Chill out and see what January brings. He will be backed properly.

 

Add to that list a professional football team set up... coaches backroom staff physios sports scientists scouts etc. Not too much to ask

 

When was the last adequate January window?

 

Fs why would anyone bother listening to what Ange himself has to say ...

 

Ange will hopefully make the January window an exciting one and again hopefully be backed in what he his trying to achieve..

However, it seems farcical to me that we still don't have a Head of Recruitment in place as we approach the Jan window.. It may be that Ange doesn't want or feel he needs a DoF but surely a Head of Recruitment should have been in by now, considering what is at stake in Jan for this season.

It seems because the Team has come on leaps and bounds that improving the structure of the club has taken a back seat?

Also, is Nicholson now permanent?

Seems to me if Ange succeeds it will be in spite of our board..

The poor communication continues, but as long as we're winning eh.. We've been here lots of times.

 

Typical Celtic Board method. Judge the fans being happy with the upturn in results, do * all else.

When Ange leaves, we will just be back to square one.


Unfortunately, there is too many within our support who are this simple to please as well and refuse to look at the bigger picture.
They will see Ange bringing the new style, the untapped Asian market being used, as if the club itself is actually doing these things long term. Then we may very well win the league and go on to have a decent showing in the UCL - to most fans they will think this is the club being run well. To the board, they will see this as if they only need to find the "right" man and their job is done. So Ange will leave in due course, and they will promote Kennedy to the job full time - we all know what will happen then.

Failure will loom, some of us will kick up * about the short sighted nature of the board and the disaster of the infrastructure. We will be told to pipe down "did you complain when we was in the UCL with Ange?" and told we are entitiled for demanding the board actually run us like a football club.



While we are doing "well" this board will do next to nothing to build on anything.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Steps should already be taken for when Ange leaves but our board think they're amazing for preparing to do something in January.

 

Again the Higgins debacle, highlights how out of touch this board is, how in their right minds did they think appointing a head of security that the majority of the fans would refuse to engage was a valid idea..

Hopefully the rumours are true and he's decided not to take up the role..

The lack of communication with fans again is astonishing, if the appointment isn't taking place, why not announce it? Instead of enabling more anger and fan action that could hinder the side..

Either they are so so out of touch, so in turn incompetent.. Or they do not give one single * about supporters which isn't sustainable. As the next issue that may come along will only widen the gulf between this board and its supporters.

Something needs to change, starting with getting rid of Bankier..

 

Its just not bankier that's needed rid off there's guys on that board that's been there far too long and include Dermot Desmond in that and we need fresh new faces on the board and a new major shareholder or owner who are real Celtic men and have a bit of ambition for this club and move it forward to the challenge in Europe .

 

Is there any confirmation about Higgins not joining?

 

Not yet mate.

 

Supporters are mere peasants to these * mate. They do not give one solitary * what we think.

 

Couldn't give a * if the guys on the board are Celtic men or not.

Just being football minded would he a decent start.
