He presses better than Forrest and has a real hunger, just lacks a wee bit of composure and consistency, he's made an excellent start overall.

Forrest struggling to get up to speed at the moment and he's a good option.

It's interesting how the tide turns on players and fans opinions.

Wasn't too long ago we all loved his impact and drive as part of the front three. We all at the time acknowledged he was young and likely to dip in form and consistency and we all acknowledged that to get the best out of him, he would need a competitive Forrest to help take the burden off him and give him rest time to develop and someone to learn from as he progresses.

Fast forward 3 months and half the folk seem to have forgotten that and are about 2 steps away from calling him a dud and to punt him in January.

Fickle bunch are football fans in general.

For me, the lad had a great start, good impact, has been played a bit too much to the stage he has burnt out. Same happened a few years back with Ajer, folk forgot how much we relied on him as a young player when he desperately needed dropped for his own good and development.
    Same goes for Abada now.

Forrest came back flying he’s just had a couple of quiet games. He was good in Leverkusen and he also took us to the final of the Cup.

Abada’s end product is the reason you can’t deny he’s had a good start at Celtic but his overall game is majorly lacking, particularly in comparison to Forrest who’s a far superior overall footballer.

Aye, don't disagree with any of that.. Only that Forrest isn't fully firing as of yet.. Looked like he was carrying a knock/niggle from the start today.

I mean Forrest is 9(?) years his senior. He's undoubtedly the better player.

Abada has huge potential, just like Forrest did. Forrest has fulfilled it, Abada needs to do the same.

He did look lively when he came on but I just wish he would try to take on his man more often. I lost count the number of times he turned back with the ball instead of taking on the man in front of him. I don't know if it's just a confidence thing with him but you just have to look at Jota to see the difference a bit of confidence can make. Maybe it will come

It's definitely a confidence thing. When he first came he was going past players and whipping in balls. I think the problem he is having just now is learning the defensive side, when to press, when to track back, that he just isn't naturally used to and it's making him think, where before he'd just bomb forward. Now the time he takes to decide what he should do means he's been closed down. Once he gets to grips with the style and finds that ballance between his attacking and defensive duties I think he'll come good. The positive thing is he has Kyogo and Jota to learn from.

Needs to be the one to start upfront till Kyogo is back. Can score a goal, fast and closes down well.

Wasn't convinced he can play through the middle before but did enough last 20 mins, 30 if you include extra time, to think under current circumstances that might be worth a shot

    Poor again.

Honestly find it incredible anyone thinks he’s even close to Forrest as a player never mind better than him.

Thought he was decent tonight. Played quite well in spells..

His corners were good. Welsh scored from one and Bitton should've scored from the other..

    Won the penalty..

Having better impacts on game's again..
