The January Transfer Window 2021-2022

Shaping up to be absolutely massive, add some quality and it could mean CL football and further dominance.

If ever there was time to speculate to accumulate, it's surely this window..

New manager who knows the Asian marker well too..

Add that quality and we dominate for the foreseeable.

 

This is the last chance we will have to truly put the boot down on the throat of these *, we had a right few chances since the old clubs demise and blew it, hope to * we finally take it this time and leave them in the distance for good. It’s certainly going to be tight as * this season, hope we don’t come to regret daft draws at home to livi and Dundee Utd.

 

Massive window no question. No doubt we need a new left back. The biggest immediate issues for me are left back and the holding midfield position. Other then Barkas not sure that we will be selling players unless replacements are found. Bolingoli and Ajeti likely come into the equation in that scenario.

 

We need a number two keeper a holding midfielder and two attacking midfielders to give rogic and Turnbull a break .
The board need to back Ang or we know this board want to let sevco off the hook and survive another day and unforgivable if they do .

 

After what happened today I hope the board don’t try and chance their hand thinking they can do it on the cheap.

We need to make sure we get the quality in and we * win the league to get that champions league spot and the new club will die.

 

Aye and injury to Hart could be a disaster tbf.

Really can't be overstated how important both the transfer dealings AND the time on the training pitch are. A matter of weeks ago I was shouting for 4 and 5 signings in and about the same number out, now though I'd say 3 tops.

Think the priority should be to bring in Maeda, then shipping out Barkas, Ajeti and Bolingoli. Then I'd like to see a quality left back and a solid DM.

So 3 in, 3 out and I think we're well equipped for the second half of the season. Also would like to see some younger lads out on loan.

The summer window will be even bigger again, as I honestly believe that if we bring in the right players and Ange gets the squad more or less where he wants it, we can do some damage in the CL if we get there.

Defense is still not CL quality of course but as it is currently, it is good enough for this season (even without the LB I mentioned earlier).

Exciting times!!

 

In terms of outgoings Barkas is likely to leave, with Bolingoli and Ajeti being another two who could go. Jota and CCV should be priorities but not sure if we'll get that sorted so quickly. If Ajeti leaves we need another striker in. I'd like to see a left back and a mobile centre midfielder in.

I really like the look of Daizen Maeda so I'd be delighted if we could get him in.

 

That's the hope....and we will get the same sound bites of "we focus on our own model" pish
I hope I'm wrong but I think the board see this as an opportunity to cut back til the summer

 

This is what you call a second chance!

We had the chance when we finally punted Lennon to get someone in and get things in place, we * it up.
All those weeks and even months wasted .....

We have been gifted a chance here, spend the money, back the manager, a manager I have been critical about but he is slowly winning me over, back him now and get the league won and into the CL.
This is a pivotal time here, show we mean business and put those * in our rear view mirrors!

 

A quick, attacking left back who can step in to midfield

A quick, energetic, box to box number 8 like Hatate

A pacey, physical centre mid who is ultra comfortable on the ball

Maeda up top would sort our issue's and give us more depth and versatility across the front line

Everyone knows we need a left back but we 100% need sorting in the middle with a couple..

 

Imperative we move on players like Barkas and Ajeti to make space and free up funds to get the players we need in pronto.

 

I will agree with you there except for GK Bain is good enough as backup IMHO and sell Barkas if at all possible.

 

Given We only have Kyogo and Giakoumakis up front right now I would say we will need a striker signed before we would be likely to sell Ajeti. Although hopefully just that scenario will play out as it just has not and is not going to work for Ajeti at Celtic IMHO.

 

I have no doubt we'll get Maeda and a CM come January, we could do with a destroyer-type CDM too but we aren't getting that with Bitton/McCarthy at the club.

We also need to start moving on some players. Barkas, Ajeti, Bolingoli and Henderson should all be sold.

My biggest worry is LB. With Taylor signing a new deal I don't see us going for one in January, I think it'll be Juranovic/Taylor for that spot, which is a mistake imo.

 

If they do it would be beyond myopic as while the * is hitting the fan with the zombies facts are we are still 4 points behind right now. There will have to be one heck of a collapse over the next month with the zombies for us to have any kind of lead at the top never mind a healthy sized one.
