Only good thing was the battering the hun school Greenfaulds got.
Loved it when Greenfaulds high turned up at bottom of the hill during our lunch break. School was getting refurbished so had plenty of ammo to throw at the * from atop the hill.
That day the wee * all (about 300) got chased by 1 cop in a panda car.

My auld granda said that before they built the rest of it and it was just the village...they didnae used to speak like that. It was a more central accent apparantly. Now fair enough about people moving out of Glasgow in the 50s and 60s to Cumbernauld but when you think about it that was 60 or 70 years ago. Cannae use that excuse unless your in your 80s and actually moved out of Glasgow with your family when you were 20 or 30.

Point is....Cumbernauld is taking the *.....they are wannabe weegies and I think the accent polis should be lifting folk and demanding explanations for why they are talking like that.

Gee it a rest man :56:Cumbernauld is 13 miles away from the city centre and you can be in the city centre in 10 minutes, hardly far, we even have a Glasgow postcode :giggle1:. Nobody kids on they’re Glaswegian * sake, we’re North Lanarkshire, only time ye would hear someone saying they’re from Glasgow is if they’re on holiday and talking to an English person etc and on your pish about the accent both my parents were from Glasgow as were many mates of mines parents, chances are yer gonny have the same accent as your parents aren’t ye, dafty. Never heard so much nonsense in my life.

    Absolute * shithole.

I hate Cumbernauld. It's grey, full of concrete and it feels like every day is a Sunday there.

That shopping centre as well, * sake.

I worked with a guy who got so offended when folk had a go about Cumbernauld, said there are lovely parts. I've been to Abronhill, Greenfaulds, kildrum, carbrain. All * horrible depressing places.

    I'll not be back.

If it wasn’t for Cumbernauld I wouldn't have been born!
My grandad met my da building the eyesore town centre and became such good friends he allowed my mum and him to court!
I now live in a wee village a 3 minute drive from that * odd place.

Cumbernauld is alright, * Airdrie and all who sail in her.

Doing my math here it was actually about 25 years ago .Time flies fs. Not nonsense Mickey. Every squad from all over would descend to go swimming up the fells on a hot day and on their way out there was always a welcome party on the way out .fighting all the time .it happened for years m8. Holy * hahaha. This is one of these posts one realises people need more human interaction! Put the phone away hipho, go outside to the lovely fresh air, while your at it give your head a good shaking and maybe you'll come to your senses . And while out, say hello to people and just smile. You'll be surprised what it does for your mental state!
