Just started the new Never Mind the Buzzcocks. Gutted Noel Fielding is still on it as he's an annoying *, but big Greg Davies is perfect for the host spot. Pretty good so far :50:

Against my better judgement I thought I'd give that show Weegies a bash. * *, that was absolutely dreadful.

Just watched Alien then Aliens back to back. I honestly can't decide which is the better film. :39:

Aye they're both brilliant in their own way. If I had to pick I'd actually pick Aliens. I love the setting and the idea of it, always creeped me out watching it.

It's like two perfect films of different genres using the same source material. Always wanted to see a film about the fall of the colony though. Feel like that would have been more closer to the outright horror of Alien.

Aye, that would be good. I actually quite like Alien 3, and Prometheus and Convenant were Ok, but I preferred the settings and feel of the original two. Not sure if it might be too difficult to recapture that. Would be all for James Cameron returning for that.

Watching Titanic again, gfriend is hungover, I'd be the same if I hadn't swallied the minute I woke up. And I've just found out the Scottish guy is Andy Stewart's son.

Been watching the Sopranos the past couple of weeks. My third attempt as the first two I couldn't get into it. Stuck with it this time and have enjoyed it.

No idea why it's regarded as the best ever series by a lot of people though. Aye it's good, but not a patch on Breaking Bad, or Homeland imo.

If you liked Homeland try Berlin Station a similar type of set up expect with the focus being in Europe.

Watching Mare of Easttown right now. Very good with a real twist at the end of every episode so far. Got through the first 5 to date and about to head off and watch the last 2.

Excellent mate thanks, I'll have a gander at that. If they have characters half as good as Saul and Carrie it will be worth a watch.

There is not one character that dominates the show as much as Carrie does in Homeland but I think you will like it given you like Homeland as it is very much in that vein of show although focused on events in Europe hence the name obviously. Actually just thinking of it as well another show you would probably like again along the same vein is Deep State.

One if the things I love about Homeland is how although it's fiction all the events could easily be real world stuff, and gives you an idea of what it must be like for people in that world. Looking forward to checking out your recommendations, thanks again mate.

Totally agree with you on that aspect of why Homeland is a good show and I think you will find the same is true of Berlin Station and Deep State. Plenty of good watching for you to enjoy there. Berlin Station had 3 seasons and Deep State had 2 seasons.
