    His turnaround has been mad.

I remember seeing him live for Dundee United against livi and and was one of the worst performances I'd seen and I didn't think he was good enough for even a top level championship side until this season.

Can't discredit him at all anymore. Aye he has limitations but most of our players do. Defensively he has been excellent.

Thought he was excellent again today, work rate was brilliant..

It's a nice conundrum to have, but don't really like Juranovic on the left but Ralston making it very difficult to drop him.

Just a * unit man. He’s not lightning quick but he’s so strong on the ball which more than makes up for it. As many have said, fair * to him. Playing very well.

    Excellent again.

Couple of very poor crosses early on but makes me laugh when I see people complaining about them given we haven't had anyone crossing the ball at all in any meaningful way from the right in about 3 seasons. He actually put in 2 or 3 later that were very decent.

Ralstons reaction to see the opportunity and get the low cross in for Giakoumakis was the breakthrough moment in the match. Giakoumakis still had plenty to do and did it well. Great goal.

As has been mentioned his crossing can be suspect at times but I might be in the minority here but I couldn't give a *.. he's a right back and if he continues to defend like he is long may it continue.. impossible to drop the now..

Was only til watching the highlights i realised he put that cross in for Mikey where the keeper collided with the post. Plus got an assist..

Some of his crossing is brutal though :giggle1:

    Got some engine the boy..

He's always the first one there who is prepared to defend any of our players who are fouled. We seen it midweek and again today. Wish the rest of the players did the same to put a bit of pressure on the cheating feckers in black

Great attitude, and really is a decent player.

Personally, I'd like to give Juranovic the right back position and see if we can get Scales involved.

Brilliant attitude and we need players who are willing to run through a brick wall for us.

He has a fantastic attitude and definitely has his moments of quality, but I just don't rate him. Not enough to believe he should be a regular starter for us.

Think the difference in technical ability between him and Juranovic is clear as day, and that's with Juranovic having barely played in his natural position. The sooner he's starting at right back and we get left back sorted, the better.

    Defo a place in squad.

Been outstanding turnaround, thought his attacking use of ball today was poor, but defo deserves more runouts.

Just keeps coming back for more. Poor crosses to begin with but ends up getting the assist for the goal. Brilliant attitude and something we have been missing. Ferencvaros game I think and their guy put in a bad challenge on one of us and he was right up in the guys face, tearing strips of him. We've really
    missed characters like that.

What i love about him is he doesn’t back down from other players and isn’t afraid to do the dirty work. If only he had more technical ability which is why i want Juranovic as first choice.

He scores, assists, goal line clearances, strong in the tackle, runs all day and fights for the cause. Yes he does have some deficiencies such as technical ability and his crossing could be better but people seem to overlook his attributes in preference of Juranovic who has 4 years on him, so not surprised that he is technically ahead of Ralston. I would definitely prefer we stick with Ralston and give him as much oppoprtunity to develop, at least until he starts making mistakes that are costing us goals. I think some folk on here have a hang up on him that they can't shake, he is better than he gets credit for

The 4 years doesn’t matter. Ralston will never be great technically. He just has that really stocky frame with very little agility and doesn’t have quick feet. He’s wooden.

A bull in a china shop is how I saw him described and it’s spot on.

Why would an additional 4 years of coaching/honing your skills not matter? Does coaching to improve your game end at a certain age?

Of course it does. His passing might improve, his defending might, his crossing might etc. But he’ll never have that agility, turn of pace and quick feet to dribble around someone and get himself out of tight situations.

Look at the way he moves and his body frame. He’s so wooden and only moves in straight lines.
