Where does it go though? Knowing what we know now there is no pay off considering what we know about The Sopranos.

That being said, the way they just ignored the age difference between characters probably means they aren’t too fussed about continuity.

Sil could have been Tony’s grandad ffs.

I’d say Tony about 17 in it and sil and other guys bout 21-23 in it they didn’t stick close to timeline though the ages. I am quoting about at the end

where does the story go now that Uncle Jun killed Dickie? There is no revenge plot for Tony going forward and nothing in The Sopranos to suggest Tony knew he ordered the hit on a made guy, for laughing at him falling down the * stairs! Whole story was weak as * for me. The last guy we see on screen is a low level gangster with a wad of cash strutting about a free man after racially abusing Mafia made men in their own bar, sleeping with their mistresses and declaring war on them. Ridiculous

Not just the hair thing he was clearly much older in that context. He was only about 2 years older than Tony in The Sopranos. Tony is a kid in this but Sil is a made guy.

Never seen anything to say sil was a made guy and they all seemed to be underneath dickie who was made and answered to Jonny boy who in the movie dickie referenced as skip duckies father wasn’t made either he was an associate at the start from what we see the crews in the movie revolve around Jonny boy and dickie we only get a glimpse of old man di Meo in the funeral parlour with his back to the camera theirs so much more left for a series the end scene with black guy paying money to movers gave me that vibe that their will be more beef between the blacks and Italians which leads to Tony’s first kill

Fair enough there is no confirmation he is a made guy, however the Sopranos clearly says on many occasions that Tony and Sil came up together. Sil is clearly an associate at the very least in the movie. Tony isn’t even out of high school ffs.

This movie never had the makings of a varsity athlete.

    Too easy? :fear:

I was disappointed but I also think I was blinded by the fact I, like many people, went in expecting some very particular plot points from the series to be expanded upon i.e. Uncle eckley, The card game. Which is unrealistic to expect from a feature film if only a couple of hours. I’ll rewatch to see if it was REALLY that bad.

Also, the heavy fan service and phrases from the series were actually one of the elements that annoyed me the most. That and Magaro’s performance.

Read about that yesterday. Became so engrossed in this show over the years, much more than any other I've seen, that it's always really sad to hear of anyone passing who was involved with it.

As @stew37 said, really sad to learn of anyone's death like this, not just because of the Sopranos cameos, but he made some really good movies over the years. RIP :(

Literally have The Sopranos 24/7 channel on at some point every day in my house, even just in the background. Said earlier in the thread how it's always so rough when one of the actors passes, and this is as big a loss as any of them.
