Was just reading that we've conceded 4 goals 5 times in the last 6 EL group games.

That's an appalling stat. And the board think that this defensively we're good enough?

 

Their goalkeeper is world class.

 

Ours wasn't bad either. Hart's performance was similar.

 

Lennon,needs to keep his mouth shut or say something positive. He has tainted his playing career reputation with his behaviour and attitude since hanging up his boots.

We can big up their squad any way we want. Edouard Mendy we put 3 past in Rennes.

Frimpong despite much boo’s ripped the *. Jonathan Ta looked like Maldini. Diaby like Mbappe. Tonight was a disaster. They’re really not THAT good.

Even with McGregor and Kyogo back, we were absolutely embarrassed.

 

Starfelt looks scared and unsure and is mostly out of position in games. A simple pass to the wing does not make a player. He gives me no confidence in his abilities or in his marking of players, especially in the first 25 minutes of each game he plays. By that time we have conceded a goal already. Time to give Welsh/Scales some extended playing time in that position. Frankly I do not believe Ange chose him for Celtic. I do not give a * if the club paid $4 mill for him and he is obliged by the board to play him. He is not up to it and he needs to go through a football boot camp to improve before he again steps on to a pitch on match day.

 

So instead of learning a new system you just chuck the towel in after 7 games and say * it we can't do that let's go back to punt it up the park Scottish standard? That's the kind of attitude that's got us into this mess.

 

Is it aye ? Is that the 2 options we have helter skelter football or punt and chase there is nothing else that you think could possibly be more suited to the squad of players we currently have ?

His system evidently isn't working there is no longer even any signs of progression it's getting worse almost we see the same clipped balls over the top catching us out time and time again but we refuse to make any sort of adjustment to fix it

He criticised the inverted fullbacks, that is literally the same criticism to a man most of us have had, He's there to analyse, you want him to ignore an obvious weakness.

Maybe others noticed as well.. there was a couple of thing he said post-match that stuck with me. When talking about Kyogo he said that 'you can tell that Ange has definitely brought this guy in'.

I don't think an ex manager would say that unless he was trying to emphasise that was unusual.

He also had a real pop at the players attitude, even saying players had let him down. Something we all thought last season but blamed on Lennon but it seems it's carried through to the current manager.

 

Where is that powerful shot that Rogic used to have ? Needs some Vegemite ASAP !

Sitting second in the Bundesliga is no indication of quality, we all know what an ordinary league it is. As you point out, having ordinary players similar to Maldini and Mbappe doesn't help their team at all.

I thought we were "absolutely embarrassed" too. Our inability to get in their half and even get a few shots away was woeful. Not sure what game some of the other posters on here were watching.
