That's exactly the problem. We're reliant as * on 2 players and relying on the huns dropping points already.

The squad is more than a wee bit thin. The bench in the games this season has shown that, especially since the end of the transfer window. Kyogo is a massive part of how he wants to play the game. We don’t have another striker capable of pressing the game like he does, or stretching the opposition defence like he does either.

We should have beaten every team for the last 9 year if football was played on paper. It’s no though. You take as many first team players out as we have in any team in world football and you will see a massive dip in the playing level. The problem is, we have absolutely nothing to allow players to be rotated in the current circumstances. Games are coming thick and fast and we are basically being forced to play the same starting X1. Which will not be helping with players becoming more likely to pick up injuries.

We shouldn’t be as heavily reliant on Kyogo and McGregor, but we are due to our board not properly backing the manager in the transfer window. The board have shafted fans once again. That includes by appointing Postecoglou in the first place by the way.

7 of his players played. 9 internationals played. Dutd had their 2 biggest players out, and were more than comfortable.
We can rotate, he * chooses not to.
Boli was brought in from nowhere, only to be bombed out again. Welsh and Ralston bombed out, Ralston back in, Welsh still out, even though Starfelt is muck.
Shaw and Scales can't get a sniff, instead he plays Soro, who is a walking yellow card, and Juranovic, our RB, who is playing LB.

Can he stay on the heels of Rangers and make a legitimate title challenge? I still think so. * help us if Rangers rediscover their 20/21 form. We just need to stay on their heels, get the squad jelled, keep it alive until January and bolster as much as possible, hopefully by then we'll be a different animal with Kyogo, Jamesy, McGregor et al in the mix

Took a page out the lenny book of tactics the other day by swapping the wingers. Only to swap them back 5 minutes later.

Pretty much every player you are saying he can rotate are defensive options. The positions that you don’t really want to rotate in all honesty as you want to build partnerships. I don’t agree with Welsh being dropped either to be honest though. Shaw and Scales with the greatest of respect have come from Sheff Wed and Shamrock Rovers respectively. If we are relying on players from that level coming right into the first team, then we are in big bother. Bolingoli is pish, as is Taylor. Again, it’s not Postecoglou’s fault that we have both they players on our books and our board didn’t feel the need to bring in a left back.

We are now seeing the results of the board bringing in a manager that they knew they could get away with not backing. Postecoglou wasn’t the answer, and I knew how the transfer window would play out as soon as he got the job. We are a massive club being run like a pub team.

If Kyogo isn't available he has to change things instead of sticking to the same system with players not suited to it. He also refuses to rotate mid-week, the game against Raith was a perfect opportunity yet Rogic and Turnbull played again, players with notoriously poor fitness levels, Ange is looking more and more like a manager out of his depth.

I've been asking him to do that over the last couple of game's but they swapped back that quickly there was no point doing it in the first place :giggle1:

Problem with our board is we have won 9 out of the last 10 leagues which just deludes them into think their way is successful and doesn’t need changing.

I'd be lost if I had that bench to try and change a game

People are just being blind when they keep posting "We just need to get this and this player back and we'll be fine"
This is actually showing that the manager is not up to the job, he wants to keep the same system and tactics when he doesn't have the players to do it, here's a wee tip, he's not going to have a full squad of available players, there will always be some players out injured, yes there is a few out just now but that's what the manager is there for, to change the team, the tactics, the system.

I said it before the game kicked off on this forum, "If we need a goal then there is nothing on that bench, NOTHING"
Are you telling me he couldn't name one or two young lads that play upfront and at least offer something different?
He filled the bench with defenders!!

You see it all the time from good managers when they have a few injuries, you even hear the commentator saying "He names 17 year old <name> on the bench who could get his first start because of injuries to the team".

Those managers name that 17 year old on the bench as it at least gives them an option if they need it, no need to fill the bench with with the same sort of player, sure you can change the defence but nothing up front!

I have no doubt he will win a few games with some big scores once he gets the players back that he needs for his system.
He won't win enough though and that's because he can't win an ugly 1-0 and you need that, he has to adapt and I'm not sure he has that in him.

He might well be out of his depth. Again though, that isn’t his fault. That’s down to the people who appointed him. I think people are forgetting just how bad the situation was before he took over though. Look how bad we were last season, and we have lost our top goalscorer in Edouard and our best player in Ajer since then. We are a total mess of a club.

Am really hoping to hobble on till January and go into the break no more than 6 points off the top.

More immediately I hope to get to the international break without dropping any more points so we can get some options back into the side.

It's not impossible for these scenarios to happen so am choosing to not panic just yet, I just wish so much the big man would start to develop some sort of alternative system to combat the lack of options.

Seems pretty bleak at the minute which is on the board as always, but we're not buried yet. Am behind the big man until such times as we're struggling with our best team on the park.

What's he to do as rogic and Turnbull are our only attacking midfielders at the club we sold Christie and let go ntcham and nothing came in and if he plays bitton and soro together in midfield he get Pelters for that and the squad is dire at the moment .

People are speaking about January as if it's next week it's 3 months away and that's assuming we do our business early which we almost certainly wont

The lack of attacking options in the squad at the minute is laughable. Since the game at Ibrox, the only striker we have had on the bench in any game is Giakoumakis against Raith, and he wasn’t even fit enough to get a run out. That’s a disgrace for a club our size.
