Sorry mate but wanting Strachan back is daft as *. We’re in this mess because of cronyism. It is not to be encouraged.

I know what you mean. It's galling to defend the mess we have but truth is we'd about half of our offensive players out injured and we've a defence that's only been 'together' about a month and is largely composed of projects/youths.

This season is going to be a painful graft to get through, and jury is very much out on how it'll go, but I still personally think it's been too much, too early to form a proper opinion on Ange and the rebuild. What's very clear is that we're not near complete in terms of squad depth/abilities. Also, we're physically/mentally soft.

Another thing folk don't seem to be doing today is giving any credit to United. We may have helped them out, but they certainly gave as good as they got, and we're worth their point, or maybe even more. It may have been a soft goal they got, but they deserved one for their play/attitude too. Last year the Huns romped it because we were bad across the whole league, not just us. This year the other teams look like they're back to speed. Everyone except us looks like they're out of the slump. We could be seeing a lot of these matches where we need dig, heart and steel to win. I'm not sure we have it, unfortunately...

Sorry you guys are going through this. It seems inevitable when a possession based style is implemented, its not just ange. Amor left youth coaching at Barcelona to implement the same style at adelaide united. They had a torrid time at first before coming good and winning the league. Ange has had the same teething problems at every club he has managed as well while implementing his style

I guess a positive is that you were probably in for a torrid time no matter what this season. At least there is light at the end of the tunnel. I'd be surprised if things turn around sooner than a month though. Fingers crossed things look up

Rangers managed 19 shots on goal with 3 on target v bottom placed Dundee.
Celtic managed 23 shots on goal with 7 on target 5th placed Dundee Utd, (including hitting the post 3 times).

Bossing possession doesn’t automatically translate to clear cut goalscoring opportunities, but Celtic clearly created enough changes to deserve the win. I think their problems largely stem from not having anybody clinical in front of goal who’s fit at the moment. Ajeta is just awful.

We need another Callum ASAP. Pay the money and get a similar player otherwise the team lacks a spine. It is obvious we suffer as a group when McGregor is not playing. More of the same if he gets injured again. Will enable effective rotation as well. Need to get rid of the dead wood and release salary funds for new blood.

Granted. However our midfield is atrocious at present for a Celtic side. McGregor is the only one who is consistently up to scratch when he plays. We may have been deceived that things were good with those 6-0 scores earlier but Christie was playing then and was a live wire even though he had his faults . Many times he set the tempo and generated attacking responses. We lack a lively midfield with players that can keep the team going forward quickly and support when we do not have the ball. Callum alone is not the answer. He is the yardstick for the type of players this club needs for success - domestically and in Europe.

    Doubt it.

How long did the Board take to remove Lennon?

What sort of team was Lennon managing before he left? Pretty sure it wasn't one that had lost some of its best players, who had been only partly replaced, at the last minute, with all of them trying to learn a different system under a manager nobody had heard of and whose surname can only be spelt by English professors (okay, that last bit was entirely irrelevant :84:).

It is no secret how Ange sets his teams to play, and that it often takes a season for teams to 'come good'. Thinking the manager will be (or close to) gone 7 games into the season I think is very unrealistic.

I don’t want to be too harsh on him because of the squad rebuild and the injuries, but so far it’s just not good enough.

Is he getting results against good teams either?

I keep hearing the excuse of him not bringing in his own coaching staff but in his own words he said he was happy with what he has. a lot of his interviews are coming back to bite him on the *

We've no squad, can't see how any other manager changes it.

Unless a new guy was mental and played Soro, McGregor and McCarthy together.

There is literally no way to change things up with what is currently available. The squad is too thin and the quality is non existent.

I'm happy to give Ange time and see what we can do in Jan, right now though, all my attention would be aimed at the board solely

Although, hardly a benchmark it has been much better than last season, so we have improved..

Last season we weren't even getting shots on goal at all.

As much as my patience is wearing thin l feel for him as he hasn't had much time to implement his style, 2 games a week and then international breaks. The fitness if some our players is really lacking and no more so than Ajeti, he looks * doing hee haw.

I desperately want to give him time but I don't think I can take much more of this, can't even leapfrog dundee u in the league with home advantage. Starting to feel like we need a miracle to turn things around. Tough times

We do have a squad, unfortunately our manager is not adapting to the players he has at his disposal.

We have better players than every other team bar one regarding our fringe players as they have a full team fit.

other managers with much less of a budget, players are doing better than our current manger.

To say no one else couldn’t get results against Some of the teams we have played is silly.

So no other manager could have done better this season? I find that hard to believe.

Ange is under massive pressure now and any points dropped will cause support for him to dwindle.

Last season we had 22 points at this stage.....

We had 1 draw and the rest were wins, a 5-0 Vs Ross county, 5-1 Vs Hamilton we beat Dundee United 1-0, beat livi 3-2.

Yes we're * with injuries but we should be better than this.

It was from November it got really *,

Take a risk with a youngster. Ajeti was offering nothing why not throw Moffat on up front couldn't have been wprse

Think he probably is quite rigid with his formation, which isn't ideal for a Celtic manager as the calibre of opposition can change dramatically in Europe..

But, yesterday with one fit, immobile striker and the other midfield and attacking options limited to say the least.. Not sure formation would make any difference..

It's more a really unfortunate/poor recruitment glaring lack of squad depth..

Ok so could any other manager adapt to no McGregor, Kyogo, Jullien, Forrest, no natural LW, no LB, McCarthy the only notable central midfield signing, Giakoumakis out, Eddie and Christie sold with the later integral to the early, exciting promise of Ange’s style.

Bearing in mind he's had to deal with Welsh, Murray, Bitton and Ralston in defence at some point along with Barkas in goal, all players who either should be slowly integrated into the side (Welsh / Murray) and those who should * all to do with any senior celtic squad.

How does he adapt to players at his disposal?

Drop Ajeti? Drop Rogic and/or Drop Turnbull, Drop Abada? Jota? For who exactly, who offers anything notably different that even if he wanted to, could allow Ange to change style?

    Seriously, who?

The is only one single player who is easy to argue for returning into the 11 pronto with what is available right now, that's Welsh, there is literally no one else available to pick from.

The only other style Ange could adopt is slower, deeper, almost defensive style. We already control all of the ball so he can't get any more attacking, nor does he have anything available to play more direct (which is maybe were Giakoumakis could play a part)

This talk of him not adapting is utter dog *. He can't.

Unless he drops guys like Turnbull and/or Rogic to play any type of combo of McGregor, McCarthy, Soro to which the fans would * riot.
