There's no "of course" about it, he's just coming back from a nasty injury, the original consensus was whether or not he'd recover from said injury.

With the form of our current cb's he shouldn't need to do much to become first choice again.

    * sake. Imagine being that raging about a Celtic player that you're hounding him over a wee accident for days after a game that we won 3-0.

I bet you a big baldy red faced * that just goes along with whatever John Hartson says in the commentary because your tiny wee pea brain can't watch a game of football and remember to breathe at the same time.

Starfelt really needs to improve his forward play too. Everytime he’s in possession he just plays the sideways pass.

CCV searches for forward passes and even drives forward with the ball. Starfelt needs to start adopting this too.

Exactly. Just not doing enough for me. Just need to look at the type of passes that CCV plays, * of a difference.
Dont buy this "he was good against Raith". His distribution was poor, always sideways and never forward. As a CB against the like of Raith, he is not going to have a lot to do defensively, which he did do well at, what little he had to do. But as a Celtic CB, against dross, needs to be a lot more pro active.

I'm with you on that but let's not get ahead of ourselves.....he needs to learn to defend better first then we can work on the passing. A £4m defender that needs to learn to defend and pass.....oooft.

Definitely 4 times better than Compper I'd say.

It is in the grand scheme of things but it isn't * all to us. It's not like our revenue has increased comparatively to the player transfer inflation. Kyogo cost 4/5 million and he's class. We have to be smart.

Totally agree mate it is a lot to us, but there is utter * in other leagues being bought for way more than that. Agree about the smart too, our scouting has to be better than the clubs that can out pay us. We need to work harder.

Some folk on here must be watching a different player to me. I think he has looked very solid at the back. Him and Carter Vickers will strike up a good partnership given a little time.

He had a couple shakey games without training or playing with the team before. Hes became "the scape goat" I see him as first backup once julien is back though.

Yeah, tend to agree with this. He had a wee wobble 5-10 mins in the odd game but looks solid enough. I just want my CB to be to defend first and foremost and he can do that. As long he can pick out CCV, either FB or deep lying MF wi a pass that's enough.

We're not got sign VVD everytime.

I agree mate, he’s the easy target because he was thrown straight in at the deep end.
The defence wasn’t going to gel overnight.

Said the same when he was getting flack, I don't think he's been that bad and he is getting better.
he was thrown in at the deep end in a changing defence.
When we signed Julien he wasn't playing for weeks, I honestly thought we had bought a dud as he wasn't playing but Lennon came out and said he wasn't ready and it was taking him longer to settle.
Starfelt never had that luxury given injuries and lack of players at the club.

He will only get better also!
