Thanks Sioux,(I think enthusiastic rather than professional is more apt :50:) i could have stayed and watched their coming and going for hours, they really are a special creature to travel all the way to Africa and back, i might go back to the place i watched them at the weekend and see if they're still around.:50:

Very quiet of late on my local patch but i did get cracking views of the local Male Peregrine yesterday morning and the morning before the local Female Kestrel.
Tomorrow morning I have a feeling I will see something cool with Ruby Roo:84:

A few from Skreen early on Saturday morning. there was a scattering of Swallows there but no where near the numbers of last weekend, maybe the rest have gone on ahead and these are the stragglers.:39:

Just saw a robin in my partners garden, sat on the washing line in the middle of the garden singing it’s head off, daring any competition to come and try their luck, not sure if it’ll be here all winter now or will move south soon, here’s hoping it stays, it’ll noise up the gang of sparrows

Gadwall are one of my daughter's favourite birds. She absolutley loves their velvety feathers, especially down the back or their necks. Stunning birds good friend

I was driving this morning going towards Parkhead. I stopped at a give way right near our house and was surprised to see a Grey Wagtail. It's the first Grey Wagtail I've ever seen not near a water source. Great sighting though

Took my cat down to the local pond. We spotted mallard , coots & grey herons.

Chased a few squirrels up the tree too.

While not wild cat he certainly acts like one

Saw one of these in my yard today...

    Australian swamp snake - Bing

The first time I saw one I caught it and put it in a box, and called the local wildlife wranglers, thinking it was a baby Eastern Brown Snake (highly dangerous). Turned out it was a Swampy which will give you a nasty bite but won't kill you.

Like all Australians, I far prefer to have the really dangerous critters on my property.

This morning on my local patch i was delighted to see a cool Male Goshawk.First one of this ultra cool species since Mid Feb 2019!!!
They are very scarce on my patch but far more regular in the Forests further a field.
Also 2 migrating Grey Wagtails flew over calling. And I did not see a single other species of Raptor which was a surprise.

What a sighting that is my good friend. A Goshawk is a very special sighting. I've been lucky enough to see this special bird twice in my life. Superb birds.
