The start to our League campaign has been unacceptable, whatever way you want to look at it.

We look a million miles away from a team that can go on and win the title.

Relying on Rangers to gift us the title isn't going to work. Not only is our defense utter mince, but our attack can't score consistently (and Ange is to blame for the tactical cause of that- improper wing setup).

You really are a strange fella.

One of, hopefully, very few people who constantly wants us to play negative, boring, miserable football. Two defensive mids. Full backs who don't cross the halfway line. 6'4 target man in the box.

    It's mad.

Not true. I just don't want them going forward every single time. As for boring football, you'd be surprised that my ideal footballing style includes midfielders taking long range shots whenever possible. I love me a screamer. Of course, negative football is necessary when the opposition are too strong. You're correct on the target man.

But if that football won the league this season would you take it?

Just playing devils advocate here and a bit of a hypothetical question...

Would you accept * dour defensive football this season if we won the league playing that style??

Ange has never been faced with the challenge of breaking down teams that park the bus.. Football isnt played like that in Asia or Australia. As an Australian I had high hopes for him but from early door it looks like he is struggling tactic wise and adapting to a slower grinding style of football that is played in scotland.. Honestly dont see him seeing out the year, he either walks or gets the sack.. Hope im wrong but its not looking good. Doesnt help he has a * of a squad but good mangers should overcome that and I still think its a good enough squad to win the league because from what ive seen from the Rangers they are not that flash hot this year.

Uglier. I actually believe Leverkusen will leave more space.

Aye, was saying this yesterday, not relying on them dropping points but they have..

We've lost 3 but still only 4 behind and we've seen enough to know we will get better.

Of course, but three defeats in the league already is very disappointing.

Agreed completely and the fact they’re all away from home is a huge red flag which points to an inherent issue that we can’t seem to resolve.

With crowds back, both teams in Europe on a Thursday, Covid still about, the pressure of the Champions League direct entry carrot and the league itself being much stronger there will be dropped points all over the place this season IMO. All isn’t lost but the away form is brutal and needs fixed ASAP - by whatever means possible.

Did we really only lose 5 times in the league last season? Honest to * felt like a lot more.

We do. But we thought that a few weeks ago as well before Kyogo came in and set the world alight. It's amazing how much better we look with his movement.

Not addressing the black hole that is our defence in the summer will cost us (and already has), and we all saw it coming.

We have a few home games coming up. Need to win those convincingly to build momentum back and take it from there. I almost feel like the winless away streak is in our heads now too. That needs snapped as soon as possible.

Thought we went about 14 games without a win. Must have been draws.

    To some extent you're correct.

Look, we all know Ange is now coaching a huge team in Europe. Nobody in Australia is naive about what that means. It's sink or swim, and quickly. The fans are rightly concerned and worried, and that's understandable.

But... a lot of people here are saying that Ange plays a naive form of football. Believe me, the league may have changed, but the nature of that criticism is not new at all.

Over the last ten years he has been labelled "naive", "ideological, "weak at the back", "brave", and "too attacking minded" by the Australian media, the Japanese media, at the 2014 world cup, at the 2015 asian cup, and the fans at several different clubs and on social media. In his first few months in Japan, some of the Yokohama players were even trash taking Ange to his translator.

And yet... every single time, after a crap first 6 months, he went on to win every single trophy he was asked to win with a scintilating brand of football. The A-league, the Asian cup, world cup qualifying, the J-league... he's won everything asked of him.

So, here's the choice for you.

Think back to the Dundee game. That is Ange ball. Everyone in Australia, Japan, and the rest of Asia and City Football group has seen it before.

Here's the question Ange is asking you to think about:

Are you - and the club - prepared to endure six months of ordinary results - to get Celtic playing like that every week for the next 3 years?
