Reminds me (in the loosest manner possible!) of Ronaldo when he first went to Man U. You can see the talent and ability in spades, but it took them a year or 2 to develop him physically and mentally for the aggro he got every game, and big hammer throwers knocked him (literally) off his game.

Not saying he's going to get to that level, or even that they'll ever be the same style of players, but just that if we get it right he'll go on to be awesome I think, but he could just as easily be misused and underprotected and come to nothing, bolting from the league as fast as he can... Obviously, I'm hoping for the former!

He needs time and coaching to find consistency. Early signs are he's a huge talent.

There's too much being put on him right now though. People are arguing we have depth and using him and Dembele as part of that argument for the right side. Ridiculous to put so much on teenagers, especially one that is already struggling to stay in the game for even 45 minutes sometimes.

I know exactly what you mean with this comparison.

Missing tomorrow’s game for “religious reasons.”

Just as well we have loads of strength in depth with him and Forrest out.

Religion is all fine and dandy.

Wanna observe your religious practices to a strict adherence. Fine. No problem son.

    I respect YOUR religious beliefs.

But I'M not * PAYING for it.

    Dock his * wages

    * me.. Why is there always * something with us? Any other teams have players missing for this reason?

I'm sure there has been a couple but can't remember off the top of my head.

Huge game for us and this bullshit.

What if you had a whole team like this? Reschedule? Forfeit?

We really needed him. I know he goes large spells unnoticed but he's clinical and seems to get into goal scoring positions in every game.

Is he not going to play over hannakuh when we have important games? Where does it end?

Not to sound too much like a right winger here....

But if I was a hard Catholic and refused to play football or train on Sunday I would be told, and rightly so, to get to *. Fans pay good money, too much money, for players to do a job.

I actually mind a big Hun hullabaloo about that * Bouhgerra training and playing in an empty stomach because of Ramadan. They were going bucko because they were worried he couldn't last a 90.

But at least he * played. * that he is.

    What's this * game? Seriously?

Do what your paid THOUSANDS of pounds to do, or * away off.

Wanna act the holy head? Do it on your own * dime, not ours.

I repeat. Dock his * wages.

I find this to be a really poor excuse not to play to be honest.

Yom Kippur is a little different to your Sunday church.

while Abada won't feature due to religious reasons.

The player is marking the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur that takes place today and tomorrow.

Two Israeli teams - Maccabi Tel Aviv and Maccabi Haifa - brought their Conference League games forward to last night to avoid a clash.

Postecoglou explained Abada's absence: "Liel Abada will miss tomorrow night because of Yom Kippur.

"It's obviously a fairly significant religious day for him so he'll miss out."

Misspelled "quite" and accused others of ignorance in the same sentence. Congratulations.

Yet perhaps you might enlighten the rest of us on "employment law", instead of making clickbait, sarky comments with no substance?

I imagine this would have been brought up in contract negotiations. The club have allowed it, and I think it would be quite disrespectful to force him to play.

Could depend on how religious Kayal or Bitton are or were.

OK, if you need me to explain it I will..

You can't 'dock' anyone anything for following religious beliefs.. This would be discrimination and leave us open to litigation..
