Died at 61 after a 9 year battle with cancer he kept private.

Gutted about this. Guy was the absolute GOAT comedian. His videos from his podcast on YouTube are incredible.

Also had the best ever Comedy Roast bit.

    A genius.

    Great quote from him.

“I’m pretty sure, I’m not a doctor, but I’m pretty sure if you die, the cancer dies at the same time. That’s not a loss. That’s a draw.”

    * that's sad. Always loved his interviews with Conan O'Brien.

One of the best storytellers of all time, he had an amazing way of turning a rambling tale into a punchline. This one is a classic:

Go on youtube and fill your boots with his stuff he was * hilarious. Not a big fan of american comedians but Norm MacDonald was outstanding. The roast thing he did was genius, instead of being nasty he flipped it and just told silly old unfunny jokes which somehow made it even funnier because it was him doing it. Hard to explain but if you watch his stuff you’ll understand.

His roast bit is genuinely one of the best bits of stand up I’ve ever seen.

“Cloris some say you’re over the hill. Don’t believe them, you’ll never be over the hill, not in the car you drive.”

Was hilarious when the * comedians like Jim Norton didn’t understand what he was doing.

Bob isn't the biggest sports fan, I don't think I'm telling any tales out of school. I took him to a ballgame, and he came toting a double-barrelled shotgun. I said "what the H is that for?" Bob said "I heard the Lions were playing the Tigers"—you remember that

Did we not have another thread about the genius of Norm?

Absolutely sure I had posted about him before.

Dead pans everywhere worshipped at his feet.
