Maybe in Dom McKay progressive hierarchy, Bankier role was axed and he got in there before it could be implemented

Honestly thought it would have been the opposite, given Mckays history of being in Japan regularly for rugby reasons etc.

Postecoglou is only going to say too much, anyway.

    I got sent this message.

It sounds very like Mulgrew but impossible to really tell for certain with that accent.

Said mckay went behind Bankiers back to start the negotiations on Juranovic etc when the board had told him not to spend anymore and that anymore signings would be loans.

It certainly lines up with us going for Couto on loan first etc but all rumours at this stage.

This is the summary of it, for me.

I am now swaying towards point 3 and it really doesn't sit well with me. If they are so afraid of change we really are in trouble.

That Mulgrew rumour is laughable. Mckay told to not spend money but stole the bank card and sent Legia a few million anyway. Aye I'm sure that's how it works :56:

So he wasn't the guy that brought AP in. So the credit goes to someone else on the board and it's clear he hadn't even spoke to the manager about leaving or contemplating it as he was as shocked as anyone. So their rumoured close relationship probably wasn't all that either.

Have to wonder what McKay actually brought to the table in his short spell.

I think it’s clear McKay played a big part in Ange coming in. He’s just trying to settle the fans.

If he has actually been chased out the door for wanting to modernise the club properly then he’s the only * that should have been left standing. * this board.

I think that's a very convenient conclusion to come to. I suspect something else has gone on and we'll never get to know the full truth. It will be interesting to see when and where McKay turns up next.

So, someone rumored to be Mulgrew spoke about the reasons why McKay left? I hope there's a link to the audio.

Think it was more that he had started the negotiations and contract etc behind everyone else's back now, no money was passed, and by the time it came to it we ended up not wanting to back out. I thought the same as you at first.

But aye, huge pint of salt.

Why was Desmond jr getting involved in club matters when he doesn’t have a role at the club, Mickey Mouse operation

Some of the stuff coming out is McKay was this super being that was trying to do everything the fans wanted, it's just too convenient for it to be true. Not a fan of the board but.....he was trying to sign players instead of loaning them and the board didn't like it. He wanted to modernise us from top to bottom but was being prevented, he didn't want Lawell sticking his oar in any more.

It appears to have happened suddenly which is backed up by the manager so it could genuinely be personal reasons.

If he has done so, then he did his job. We're supposed to spend money to back the manager. The CEO is the one in charge of negotiating, right?

We’ll soon know in the next two windows, this summer we signed guys on permanent deals for 3/4/5 year contracts most of which weren’t punts or projects and fitted the system of the manager. If we go back to what we saw before this summer then it’s clear why Dom left

Regardless of what went on or didn’t I definitely want to see Bankier booted down the length of London Road. * blood sucking vampire that only serves as a divisive block between fans and the club.

Wait, Livingstons still there? I thought we sent him running years ago?

Bankier is one of the biggest rats about, it still angers me that we never chased the * when his opinion of the fans became apparent.

Absolute rat of a man that deserves to be nowhere near our club. I * despise him.

Actually Livingston is gone. Actually forgot he was forced into resigning in 2017. My mistake but I’m sure there is someone else that could * off with Bankier. :giggle1:

Bankier should have been chased at the same time, came out and said that we chased Livingston because we’re aw a bunch of anti-semite’s. Not because the guy was actively working towards taken food away from weans fs. The antithesis of why we were founded, and the * hits out with that.

That’s the measure of Bankier, * disgrace.

Would be good if Desmond went with him. The problems come from the top.

One shareholder having such control over the club is always a precarious situation…

It seems to be increasingly becoming a ‘my way of the highway’ type dictatorship … and one that definitely does not have the clubs sporting interests as the prime concern.

celtic plc is more important than Celtic fc
