Not the best game I've watched but happy with 3 points and a clean sheet will do nicely.

 

Fortune favors the brave, and CCV definitely earned those favors. Montgomery should have started. Locked down the left side, and we were far safer with him in. Jota likes his tricks and cutting in, but we need him to go down the wing more- other players will take care of the middle. Ajeti finally realized what he is supposed to do, and where to be, as a striker.

When is the next game? Players look like they need life support.

 

We did what was needed, Ross County played as expected on a defensive display as expected, made it frustrating for us and it is take a luck break for the goal but then opened up.

We were lacking the conversion of our chances, this has been a problem for while and needs to improve and I think it will as the squad gels.

Bench was lacking today but we are currently missing ?8? first team players (Kyogo, Forrest, Giorgious, Mikey, Karamoko, Ralston, Julien) many of which would have been able to offer something and if even 3 were in the squad it would have looked a far stronger bench but is classic Celtic in that way

Fitness wise we didn't look too bad for those in the pitch anyway, cramps aren't the best but we certainly had the edge on fitness today and I'd like to think it will keep improving, it was certainly an issue last season but we all knew Lennon was a * fitness coach.

Games like these are a part of the season, deal with the frustration and come through it.

Defense looked alright for the most part still need to improve though, some big saves from Hart

 

After all thats gone this week and with the * internationals I'll take a 3.0 nil thank you bhoys. We rest and move on.

 

Actually thought starfelt looked a lot more comfortable and better today

 

CCV looks solid.
Starfelt was fairly anonymous which is a GOOD thing for a CB
Furuhashi must be one of the first names on the team sheet.
McCarthy needs to stay fit as he could be very important to us.
On this seasons form Ralston doesnt deserve to be out of the team.
The experience of Forrest is needed as Abada and Jota are young and inevitably inconsistent.
Montgomery looks like a quality young player.
The midfield of Rogic, Turnbull and McGregor are going to have to raise their game against Real Betis on Thursday night.

 

Think * be a good one, but he was poor today.

Vickers was brilliant.

 

Rogic and Turnbull don't seem to have it in the tank for the number of games we play, especially under Ange's style. We need to adapt and find the right way to use them accordingly

 

Need to find ways of utilising Shaw, Mccarthy and Soro even if using as subs.

 

I know one player doesn't make a team however, we really missed our Japanese Bhoy. He brings pace, excitement and goals.

 

Young Montgomery looks a really good prospect. I love his confidence at taking the ball forward and hopefully he stakes a claim for that LB slot.

 

If we don't * it up, we have absolutely won a golden, diamond encrusted, Rolex watch with how Ralston, Welsh and Monty have come onto it this year!

 

Really struggled at times today through lack of movement upfront, I know he scored 2 but Ajeti was frustrating as * at times. I said earlier today Kyogo is absolutely key to how we play and today showed that imo.

 

I would have him in ahead of Taylor easily.

 

Was quite *, slack play from nearly everybody, first half also there was 4/5 good opening all wasted although was comfortable in the end.

One of those games if it was tougher opponents or away we'd probably have dropped points, lot of debuts and guys who'd harldly played though and guys who were on International duty so was never likely to be full flow but the missing of chances and losing of the ball in the first half ruined the atmosphere and chance to put on a show.

 

Difficult to play against a team set up the way County did. always felt as soon as one went in that was it; saw someone else mention it but didn't want to jinx it. Vickers and Jota, first half anyway, best for me. Cal did ok too, and Hart some decent saves. Think we're in decent shape performance wise; bit light attacking wise, but full credit to Ajeti.
