He’s going to have to up his game with CCV here and Julien back in October or else he’ll find himself down the pecking order.

 

My stream was fine and everyone else on radio and on podcasts said the same as I have said and look at it again ten seconds before the goal is scored no one was picking him up and starfelt was marking goldson .

Hellander lost Welsh, peeled away and made a run round the back. Welsh lost his man and was more at fault than Starfelt.

 

Welsh didn’t match Helander’s run, and Starfelt didn’t beat him in the air. Could say both or neither are at fault. The truth is somewhere inbetween: the team as a whole conceded the goal to a good header from a decent delivery, following a good bit of movement from Helander.

We could have been set up better to deal with it; we weren’t. Welsh and Starfelt were both beaten, but neither made glaring errors.

 

Something we are totally incapable of.

* should count his lucky stars. How he's started ahead of Welsh is crazy, he looks to have about 10 brain farts a game. Constantly caught out with surroundings or the bounce on the ball etc.

 

He looks so uncomfortable

 

He looks so unsure, clumsy, just not the ball playing center half Ange needs. Had several opportunities to carry the ball out but not capable. Disgrace to keep him in the side instead of Welsh.

 

I thought he was alright today, and I think the only reason he played over Welsh was to give Welsh a rest, he was away on Int duty.

I think he'll start against Betis too, albeit I'd personal bring back Welsh for that game.

 

Decisively indecisive

 

The Starfelt experiment needs to stop, like now.

Maybe Ange is trying to get his confidence up by playing him but he is shooting himself in the foot by doing so. With CCV now here, Starfelt can sit on the bench. Welsh must play until Jullien is ready to compete for a starting slot again.
