Just dont get this, 23 is not young, most pro footballers that are going to make it, should have a starting place nailed down at 23.

He had it nailed down a fair bit last season when he came in..

He needs a run of game's. He just looks rusty being brought on for 10/15 here and there..

Got to say am leaning towards him not being up to the required standard. Thought he did show glimpses of potential at times last season but so far seen none of that, in his admittedly limited game time this season.

Not ruling the boy out at all, just not very confident he will make it. Certainly not good enough right now.

I would say it's not really his passing thats quality, its more he is confident on the ball and he has good vision.

He makes a lot of good forward passes because he sees passes and he has the confidence to play them rather than him being a quality passer of the ball, Scott Brown was probably a better passer but he never risked passing through lines in midfield and maybe never had the vision where as Soro does but his passing is less accurate.

I'm the same. Thought he looked good & coming from a league similar to ours. There is parts of his game that are good but part that really let him down. Gives the ball away in crazy places on the park when trying to make a pass & also gives away too many freekicks. Hope Ange can sort these things out.

I think he gives away freekicks because he is the last man in midfield and when guys get in behind him we are in danger.

He's more of a defensive player who plays in front of your sitting guy like Gattuso did at Milan and Kante does at Chelsea where they had Pirlo and Jorginho behind them rarely coming forward. For us when we play him we usually play him as the deepest guy which doesn't suit him as he plays risky passes and likes to run forward with the ball which you shouldn't really do when you are the only barrier in front of the defence.

I don’t think he’s a world beater but he gets a hard time IMO.

I don’t think his passing is too erratic. I’ve seen McGregor give away shockers recently and Turnbull can go 20 minutes without winning or retaining possession, but the minute Soro comes on, takes ownership and it doesn’t work out, he gets pelters.

It would be easier for him to just break up play and make simple passes but he tries to get up the park and contribute, something we sorely lacked in many games with Brown the last few years.

He needs a run of games and some coaching, no doubt, but he definitely gets more than his fair share of stick.

He’s erratic and lacks some maturity and discipline. He’s got a fantastic engine, strong in the tackle and his passing is an underrated part of his game. Scored a long range one last season too. I’ve not many qualms about the guy.

Biggest worry about playing him is whether he'll stay on the park. Liked him when he has played but needs to have a bit more control when picking a tackle.

I like him needs to understand his role though imo.He is a ball winner and there to break up opposition attacks...but then layoff a simple pass to wingers or midfield maestros rather than trying to find the thread through the needle pass.
Hopefully Big Ange can coach him and others to learn their roles better within the new playing style.

He’s not progressed which is the biggest problem.

In fact he’s even rasher now than when he first joined.

I don’t think he’s had a fair crack tbh. If he’s had a run, players and formations are changed around him. Not the finished article but not as bad as some on here will make out.

    Kennedy * him over.

He was on a good run last season. A fresh impetus and refreshing energy to our midfield, then Kennedy told him to plonk his * on the bench in favour of playing the soon-to-be outgoing Broony every single game.

Maybe the dropping out the blue dunted his confidence but he hasn't yet performed to the level he was at last season.

Hasn't really been played this year or last. Makes progressing pretty difficult.

Actually makes gauging if he's progressed, and from where, difficult too :43:

Said it before that I don't really think he has it to make it here regularly.

Don't see him as anything other than a squad player. I also don't think he's the kind of midfielder we need right now.
