If Juranovic takes his place after doing so well wonder if he will look elsewhere come January.

If he can't play for Celtic after this long at the club and his recent form not sure when he can? Too young to not play and know what he could have done I'd say.

Ralston at this point is a really interesting one.

I'm not convinced if he left he would kick on or even perform as well as he's doing right now.

A better move for him, even if he loses his place, might be to keep working hard and become a bit of a culture carrier in the squad. He might land a modest 3 year contract or something like that as a backup or 3rd choice RB.

The reality is he's not going to get more money anywhere else in the SPFL and his form hasn't been so good he'll get a good offer anywhere else, especially when in this hypothetical he loses his place to Juranovic.

It all depends really but fundamentally I don't think that's an awful career to have if you're a bit more on the limited side.

I think we will see the position shared, the manager has said as much, the players can't cope with the amount of games and the system together, so both will be number 1 picks, ralston deserves this on merit.

There’s no chance he’s looking at the door. Last year he couldn’t get in the St Johnstone team. He’s living the dream.

What do you mean? He played almost all games at St Johnstone, only dropping out some of the time when they played 5 at the back when he was there.

Very few loanees from development sides do that.

Fair enough. Just heard it a few times that he was in and out of their side. Point still stands.

You heard wrong. Lot of * talked about his loans. He was a mainstay at all 3 clubs he's been loaned to from 16 up.

    What point still stands?

My point that he’s living the dream and there’s no chance he will be looking at the door any time soon. We play close to 60 games a season and we have 2 right backs. He won’t be short of game time.

My original question was based on him not playing so sounds like we are talking about different things.

Juranovic will take his place most likely and he will not be looking elsewhere in January.

Why wouldn't he? He's supposedly not on a good contract and won't be playing from what you're saying now. He's probably done enough to get attention that wasn't there in the summer.

    Read my posts again man.

Why wouldn’t he? Because he’s living the dream, we play close to 60 games a season and we’ve only got 2 right backs.

    Attention from who?

Christ he’s been better recently but some people are going way overboard. Someone was saying if he was a £6m signing we’d be saying it was a bargain. * mental talk. He’s done very well but the deficiencies in his game are still pretty obvious.

As Slaw said, if he gets another 3 year deal and told he’ll be rotating with Juranovic he’d be buzzing. A month or so ago the best he could have hoped for would have been Motherwell or Livi.

It's not about juranovic taking his place though, it's if we play 2 or 3 games in a week both will get a chance.

If Juranovic comes in and plays better then he will have taken Ralston’s place. In every likelihood that’s exactly what will happen.

He may then get some games but there won’t be major rotation of our full backs.

Simply put, he's been our best and most consistent player so far this season. Glad we've got another option but Ralston has made the position his for now.

He’s not been our best player far from it. If we paid £10m for him in June I guarantee you’re not calling him our best player this season.

Well it's personal opinion isn't it? Would only say Rogic, Christie and Kyogo have come close in terms of level of performances so far.

Can't really answer the last bit because we didn't pay 10m for him.

The only person who could really stake a claim against Tony is Kyogo IMO.

Who else, if he's "far from it"?

McGregor for one has been putting in far better performances. Ralston has been solid. Rock solid, but nowhere near the quality of performances of Callum.
