I’m very much bothered & proud about all our rich history & achievements & I know for definite many others are as well.
We still as a support sing & celebrate successes from generations ago so don’t talk bollox.
The quad treble is a unique achievement & he’s part of it & understandably seems rightly proud of that.

How annoying is it when a player signs and their new club just steal everything from the old club. “Eddy”, Stone Roses, etc. * up Palace get your own *.

Scored some brilliant goals, and some important ones as well. Wish him the best.

Think it's a * move though and can see him in France within a couple of years.

Hea not worthy of taking that song. *.

In all seriousness, he was qaulity for a while but over rated. If he was a £20m striker he should have banged in alot more than he managed in our league.

I wish him well now just a pity they made him stay longer than he should have but you know he was a great player for us in the good times. No point being bitter about it.

He showed more commitment to Celtic than he is getting credit for. He stayed longer than some others who are lauded here.
He could have lifted our leg like * & sat on his contract until January, got himself a multi million pound signing on contract & the club would have received * all.

...says the member who uses a nick in reverence to a bit part player who scored 9 goals in 66 games over 5 years period & who hasn't been at the club for a decade. :87:

I mean, that is pretty ironic.

Wasn't at his best since the lockdown stopped everything, but was a good servant and became a bit of a scapegoat last season.

    He'll do well.

People really complaining about the club thanking a key player for the Quadruple Treble.

Then Van Dijk, Thiago Silva, Ruben Dias etc.

Fair enough if some people are * off at his attitude or the fact he's left, but he's moved to an infinitely better league and the defenders he's up against every week will be better than anything in our league, outside us and the huns.

Wish him the best of luck. He wanted to go last summer and we never wanted to let him go. Understandable going into a massive season but the club really need to know when to sell a player. All comes back to non-existent forward planning.

Between him, Christie, Ntcham and Boyata we've probably missed out on £40-50m in transfer fees.

His form in the run up to lockdown was as good as anything we've seen post larsson. He has to take some responsibility for his drop in form since that but we were an utter shambles last season being led by a total clown.

If we were better organised he should have been sold last year for 30m+ and properly replaced but that was never likely under this board.

Wish him all the best for the rest of his career.

I know it's stating the obvious. That's why I found your initial post a bit baffling, because you seem to be suggesting he won't be up against top players.

Pretty depressing when you watch thus and are remembered of just how outstanding a player he is when he's in the mood..

The completely * off at how much he'd chucked it in comparison when you watch this video to most of what he served up in his latter time..

He was easily our best striker since Larsson imo despite a poor last 12 months. Very bitter sweet player and transfer.

    Spot on.

At his best, he was overrated. At his worst, he was overplayed.
