I do think he believes he is better than he is.

Most annoyed at the fact we havent got a direct replacement. McCann would have provided that energy. It's the first thing we need to sort in January.

    Do you know him, aye?

Losing him without any sort of replacement weakens our squad immensely. That’s not even debatable.

What a weird move, a clear stepdown for him and Bournemouth aren't even guaranteed to go up.

Guess it was for money, oh well, what could have been.

Just wondering if he chose Bournemouth coz he felt he might get found out he's not acrtually good enough to play in the premier league.

Immensely, no, are you his da? Overhyping and overrating his ability and influence. He has never shown any consistent form since under Rodgers. When he is on fire in games he’s great but for me those games come few and far between.

Prior to last season he was one of our better players and him leaving us for a Championship team for a couple mil is obviously bad business. All of this could probably have been sorted a year ago with a new contract or a timely sale before player-club relations soured. If it was just Christie, I'd say you were bang on, but it's literally every other decent player over the past year wanting as far away from our club as they can get.

Any player who averages over 25 goal contributions a season is an immense loss, more so if they aren’t replaced.

How many of our players have shown consistent form since Rodgers left? I’d also argue none have been played out of position more, which certainly hasn’t helped Christie.

If you don’t think Christie leaving has weakened our squad, you’re deluded.

Actually, it was widely reported Burnley had offered him more, and he chose the step down (both in wages and in league) in order to play more, and particularly because Bournemouth were promising he’d get to play his preferred position, apparently.

Compare his ending with Eddy’s; the lad did it the right way: screwed the nut, put in some good performances for us, making a few important and impressive final contributions, and putting himself in the shop window in the process. Don’t know how anyone can grudge him the move after that. The past is the past, and he did a lot to right it this summer. He leaves with my respect and good wishes.

I am disappointed he has gone. The quality of player we have lost this window compared to what has come in makes me think we shouldn't be thinking these guys see their moves as to smaller clubs, we are more than likely in a significant down-scaling process

I've defended Christie but this morning I'm more relieved he's gone than I'm annoyed we never got a new no:8 in. Feels like a bit more of that toxic cloud has lifted.

I know this is an unpopular opinion but I believe this was mostly our doing and there's something funny going on behind this whole thing.

I don't know what the script was but his dad was speaking out about moves which never endears you to the fans.

Reckon he'll suit the game down there. Wish him the best, worked as hard as any player we have.
