I know you've only included sales from July 1st but not forgetting frimpong sale in January for a substantial fee that wasn't reinvested due to the managers situation at the time.

Come on slaw, you're better than this narrow view!

You telling me we can't attain a midfielder from Austria, France, Holland, Switzerland, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Denmark... That has played for a succesfull club, without spending £10+ million?

I'm not going to believe that Ange will allow us to go into this season with that defence.

    If so, then it's 1 of 2 things, he's a puppet or he's just a * of a manager.

I'm going to say he'll sign at least a CB and LB.

Exactly right. The support has been conditioned.

I was told last season we couldn’t possibly get a better manager than Neil Lennon, whereas Ange would’ve walked the Sahara desert to get here.

There’s no way we can get a decent striker in his prime, only gambles like Klimala and Bayo. £5m later and we have Kyogo, all it took was looking.

I wish the support would entertain the idea there might be better players out there if we had the competence to look and the desire to spend some modest cash. Just because you get English football pelted at you 24/7 doesn’t mean that’s all there is..

Looking from the interim accounts December 20 there was £19.7m cash at bank we had made a £5.9m operational loss to that point. However in player trading we had spent £12.7m on transfers and only received £1m in.

Simplistically looking from that point take the upper end of the loss £2m a month January to June so £12m would leave £7.7m cash at bank.

We then sold Frimpong for net of the Man City cut for around £8m, we sold Elhamed for £0.8m, we would have got about £0.25m for Harper and Klimala was £3.6m so transfer business brought in £12.65m.

Giving a total of approximately £23.35m cash. Available at the end of June 21. It wont be exact as there will be other things like taxation etc to consider.

    This year we have sold
Ajer £13.5m to rise to £17.5m
Edouard £14m to rise to £18.5m (PSG to get a cut no one really knows how big)
    Bayo £1.5m
    Hendry £1.75m
Shved (undisclosed £1m for purpose here)
    Hjelde (in excess of £1m)
    Christie (talk of £2-3m)
    Oko-flex £0.25m (guesstimate development fee)

In total £36m, with the potential for another £8.5m in add ons and probably lose £2-3m to PSG. So allowing for PSG’s cut we are still over £45m of player sales in the last 8 months.

In addition wages of the books Ntcham, Brown, Laxalt, Kenny, Duffy and Elyounoussi looking at £120-200k a week depending on % of wage we paid. (£6.2m to £10.4m). That doesn’t include all those sold above.

    Transfers in
    Kyogo £4.5m
    Starfelt £4m
Abada £3.5m (but this wasn’t all guaranteed like the Ajer and Eddy deals it was add ons dependent.)
    Shaw £0.25m
    Scales £0.55m
    Urhoghide £0.15m
    Juranovic £2.5m
    McCarthy £0m
    Hart £1m
    Giakoumakis £2.5m
    Jota (?)

Which all adds up to £18.95m spent. So a surplus just from this window of over £15mish. Also back on the wages point those we have sold’s wages and say add Brown to that list will have just about covered the wages of those brought in. Starfelt, Kyogo, Hart, and McCarthy will likely be the only ones on substantial wages, with Juranovic and Giakoumakis on 8 figures a week too but the others won’t be so significant operating savings will have been made there.

There really is no excuse for the state the squad is in with such big gaps.

thats makes sense but thats not how the guys running the club think about it, they are like old style bankers

we make a loss no matter how it comes about then it has to be made back up in the shortest time as possible, the club are being run like a stock market asset and it should be there for all to see now

its all about the balance sheets

Already quite light and 3 1st teamers leave on final day 2 of which start majority of games:

We all thought/knew Eddy and Christie would leave. The board would’ve known they were…so the leave it til last day so they can claim we didn’t have time.
