We definitely need to offload Barkas, Bain, Taylor, Griffiths, Boli and Ajeti. Ralston for me would be a 3rd choice RB only. If, as is expected, Edouard leaves then we need a quality suitable replacement as good as Eddy was when his heart was in it If Christie really does want to leave, then I would hope that we the likes of McCann to replace him as the guy is full of running. Thing is, we need the new guys in now and not * foot about in our normal manner.

Barkas, Bain, possibly Hazard, Taylor, Ralston, Bolongoli, Bitton, Christie, Johnston, Edouard, Griffiths, Ajeti.

In - Mooy, Nisbet, McCann, Doig, Roberts (still tear it up here), Sigrist, a. N. Other striker, RB, CB.

Christ the squad is a hot mess, isn't it?

I'd cut my losses with Barkas, Ajeti & Bolingoli. The fact is none of them have done enough to suggest they'll be good enough, or have the right mentality to do it here. We'll have to accept a loss on them, but that's life. I'd also get rid of Griffiths.

It looks like Eddy and Christie may both be off, so that's at least a bit of money to spend. I'd hang onto the likes of Rogic and Bitton for another year because we just lack so much depth.

Badly in need of a starting right-back, probably another central defender and ideally a left-back. We need more strength in midfield. With Johnston and Dembele being injured, and Abada still being quite young, we probably still need more options out wide. We probably also need another striker as well.

So, yeah. Couple of weeks left of the window and about 4 transfer windows' worth of activity still needed. Depressed myself there.

We are 3 or 4 players short of having a great team, and about 6 or 7 short of having a great squad.

Out: Barkas, Bitton, Bolingoli, Edouard, Griffiths, plus a whole heap of loans (who I’m not gonna list, but they’ve been listed before.)

    In: (in order of priority)
    1. LB
    2. RB
    3. CB
    4. Striker to replace Eddy
(This would leave us with a solid starting 11.)

    Then to fill the squad…
    5. LW (if Dembele and MJ are gonna be constant sick notes)
    6. Back up LB
    7. Back up keeper

    And if I’m being greedy…
    8. Another CB
    9. Back up RB
    10. A box to box MF

taken out the young guys as let’s be honest they won’t play unless there is a massive injury crisis

Can't see Christie going tbh, what fee would we get for him with 4 months remaining? £1m? £1.5m?

For those figures I'd rather he stayed and played through our busy fixture list. He hasn't let his head drop with a pending move, he's still contributing, it's a totally different situation from Eddie.

Said the night can see the jota link being true we don’t have a left winger Kyogo isn’t as effective out there, I prefer Christie playing the 8 and Johnstone is as reliable as a chocolate fire guard, would love Christie to stay as you said but board May see it differently. I can see the rest highlighted all moving on though

We defo need another LW, Johnston can't be relied on and Christie can do a job but as you say it takes him away from a central berth.

His carrying of the ball is crucial to getting teams out of their shape and moving to close him down.

For the pittance we'd get for Christie I just don't think it's worth it. If we were getting a transfer fee that could bag us McCann then I could see the long-term benefit of doing it but I think we'd be losing a fair bit in the short term.

A couple of loans wouldn't bother me at this point. We have made plenty of permanent signings, most of whom I'm fairly happy with such as Kyogo, Hart, Adaba and Juranovic. I'm also quite confident Starfelt will improve and Lawal and Shaw will bring something to the team.

Yeah I'd take two loans at this stage for squad depth at least.

But it has been refreshing that we've not chased a loan deal yet(minus the city boy).

Ideally we need another centre back (assuming scales is a left back) and I'd rather it be a permanent.
But if Ange can come out and tell us he knows he still wants another one, but gets a loan to cover base just now, that's not too bad considering the players we've brought in already.

I think that Edouard will be gone by Tuesday, that Griffiths will be loaned out but I don’t see many other leaving if so it will be young ones being loaned out to get experience.

incoming I think there will be the striker from VVV- Venlo and one or two loans CB and LW as for Christie if he does leave I can see McCarthy taking up McGregors position and Cal Mac moving forward to the central attacking mid which is probably his best role

the spine of the team is still weak as * cb,cm and striker all needed and id like all 3 to have a ruthless nasty streak to their play ,we have too many nice guys and are in desperate need of some steel preferably all over 6 ft

Squad is totally bloated, looking at bench yesterday only Tam that could maybe change a game.
Barkas, Bain, Boli, Taylor, Henderson, Robertson, Griff, Eddy, Christie, Bitton, all need punting if we are to move forward.
That would free up lots of wages.
Get in a reliable back up keeper, 2 left wingers, striker and a proper midfielder.
    10 out and 5 in.

Really starting to stress that all the players we are linked with, but no defenders.

Terrifies me if this is the defenders in the squad we have at the end of the window.

    Need punted

    Barkas
    Bolingoli
    Biton
    Eddy
    Griffiths

The money we would get for Christie would rather keep as a sub , hopefully he starts playing as good as he can an signs a new deal

    Buy/replace those punted

CB on loan (Benkovic or the sort)
Think Scales/Taylor will be our LB options atm don't see anyone coming in there
    McCann
    Jota
    Un-Gorgeous George
Don't see Nesbit coming in to be 3rd choice tbh plus don't see Ajeti going
